Perhaps we went too early in the evening, or maybe it was just a bad night to go, as we were the first in the restaurant on a miserable day. The young lady who served us (Marion?) was pleasant and cheerful. I chose the Ardechois menu and my husband chose the Menu Essentiel which the server recommended. My starter was a selection of cold meats and very tasty, whilst he had the warm goat's cheese salad, again very nice. The server kept checking how we were doing and I thought this was just being a little eager to please, however as soon as the starter plates were removed the main course was placed in font of us and this is what she had been waiting to serve. It would have been nice to have had a pause. My next course was Caillette, an Ardeche speciality which having had before I found a little disappointing-lacking seasoning. My husband had the Carre d'agneau which was over cooked and rather tough- more like mutton than lamb with not a vast amount of meat but very large bones. Luckily, as my husband had to choose his desert I made sure to ask that we had at least a break of 15mins before the next course which our server duly obliged. Our desserts were ok but nothing remarkable. The restaurant is in a lovely situation and has a lovely compliment of staff it is such a shame the food isn't better and that they try to rush you through your meal.
