Le prieure is in a fabulous location in lavoute chilhac, adjacent to the old monastry and with views from within and from the terrace overlooking the bridge and river allier.We were met by locals and the owners, all of a cheery disposition common to this wonderful part of france.Four of us ordered the 22euro 4 course menu plus wine and coffee, in total 116 euro.Food was excellent including the appetizer, chucked in gratuit.Service was full of giggling over the combination of my very poor french and their equally bad english. In short, wonderfully informal and entertaining and, most important, very effective.A free digestif courtesy of stefan at the end was a big bonus.Really enjoyed it and would go again if we were here longer.
Lovely place to eat. Tables and chairs were a little tired. The restaurant looked very posh when we booked but it turned out to be average when the food was served.
