Depuis des années, nous venons dans ce fantastique restaurant pour nos déjeuners situé directement sur la magnifique plage de St Clair. Nous avons toujours été accueillis avec une grande hospitalité par les propriétaires et avons bénéficié d'un excellent service et d'une excellente nourriture. Nous espérions y déjeuner ce week-end mais nous venons de découvrir qu'ils n'existent plus. Quel dommage... cela nous manquera tellement mais nous aurons de bons souvenirs à chérir toute notre vie.
Nous y avons mangé hier le dernier jour de la saison. Le serveur (c'était peut-être le propriétaire) a fait beaucoup de déplacements pour nous faire entrer car il était complet et nous avons vraiment apprécié l'effort qu'il a fait. Les moules frites étaient les meilleures que nous ayons jamais mangées. De plus, le service était très sympathique et efficace et le cadre, juste sur la plage, était magnifique. Fortement recommandé pour un déjeuner vraiment sympa et d'un bon rapport qualité-prix.
Just happened to come across this place and we were so glad that we did! Right on the beach with stunning views. It was lunchtime and pretty full but the absolutely wonderful owner was so welcoming and did his best to not just find us a table but to find one with the best views. The menu had lovely choices and when the food came we were delighted with our meals, the daurade was stunning and the chips were up there with the best we've ever had, both fat and crispy. Extremely good prices too. The waiting staff were all brilliant, so friendly and helpful and always smiling. We wished we could have visited again but it was a little out of our way. Highly recommended!
Everything about this beachside restaurant is truly amazing. It's lively, friendly with beautiful views, good service and delicious, fresh food. They do two sitting each lunch time .. 12pm and 2pm, it's so popular that even in September you still have to book. The waitresses are happy and attentive, the menu is in French but as they are so helpful and speak a little English, ordering isn't really a problem. We ordered Mussles with French fries and grilled sea bass with cooked vegetables and rice. My sea bass was fresh, mild, melted in the mouth, and had just the right amount of crispness to the skin, I'd say, 'cooked to perfection' while the rice was good and the veg and oil bought up in separate little dishes, allowing me to decide how much of each I wanted with my fish. I tried a couple of my husbands French fries, deliciously crispy, he said the mussels .. well the whole dish was delicious, he soaked the juice up with the bread as it was so yummy. Then our desserts, another delight, we shared the tarte tatin with ice cream and cream and 3 small profiteroles, also with ice cream and cream .. very indulgent but heavenly. A small cup of coffee to finished, we also had a half litre of wine over lunch. We never felt rushed just very welcome. We were surprised and delighted when, for this gorgeous meal, our bill was only €54! Fantastic! We will definitely be back as often as we can, sadly we found this little gem on the last day of this years visit to Le Lavendou .. so roll on next year. Highly recommended .. even if you're hard to please you'll love this restaurant.
