Now, having traveled Europe fairly extensively and having lived in France for a fair bit, I would like to think I am a bit of a cheese officianado. Ie..I can't get enough of the stuff.Fondue is my Achilles heal, especially when it is done right. And that is what La Fromagerie and it's wonderful team do so well. A cozy layout, with tables for two or twenty depending on your group size, it feels like you are being welcomed in to the family home. The service is always impeccable and if you fancy a relaxing night out with family or friends, this is the place. The wine selection is not half bad but the cheese is what we come here for. Packed full of flavor, the fondue is a surefire winner and can be dipped into with a mound of bread, cornichons, pickled onions, meats and potatoes. I have never managed dessert, normally finishing my soirée with a génépi courtesy of owner Chris. Like cheese? Love La Fromagerie.

We celebrated our final night in Méribel with a full-press Savoie experience at La Fromagerie. Locals joined us and guided us to sharing a large order of raclette and one of the house fondue au fromage. Both were rich, creamy, excellent, with good charcuterie, bread, and vegetables to accompany, smother, and dip into the various kinds of cheese. We had a local white Savoie wine, Plaisir des Anges, that paired well and whose acidity helped cut the richness of the cheese. One tip: The fragrance of the cheese hangs strongly in the air. You will leave with clothes smelling slightly of the cheese, so keep that in mind! An understandable hazard, but a necessary cultural experience in Les Hauts-Alpes!

We went for Raclette at La Fromagerie, the service was prompt and polite. The staff instructing us on how to use the raclette machine and serving with Charcuterie, new potatoes and cornichons. When we'd run out of potatoes the waitress was quick to refill the pot.The food was simple but tasted very good, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun and seemed good value.

La fromagerie does cheese. Serious cheese. If you're after the standard ski trip cheese fix then look no further. We had the Savoyarde raclette which was excellent, washed down with a local Pinot noir. Book ahead - they seem to do 6.30/9.30 sitting times during peak season.

Get the Savoie special of the chef. Great after a long day of skiing. Good green salad with tasty Dijon mustard dressing to cut through the cheese. Charcuterie very good but small. Better value than Courchevel.

My wife and I visited for the traditional French raclette and that's exactly what was delivered. You know it's going to be good as soon As you walk in the shop door, upstairs is the fromagerie, downstairs is the restaurant. We went for the local savior cheese and it was very tasty, washed down with a nice red it made for a very pleasant evening. If you are looking for a local restaurant and you like your cheese then this is the place to visit!

Visited the place for dinner after ski. The place is not big so I would recommend to book the table in advance especially during high season. We ordered fondue and raclette half and half. The cheese was great but they also have good quality of meat. I don't think that was best fondue I have ever had but I'd still recommend it.

I am so glad we had time to try out this place. Their fondue is amazing, definitely would visit again.
