We stopped here based on the nice TripAdvisor reviews, but even so we were suprised by this wonderful restaurant - we took the menu and it was so much value for the money. A nice bowl of soup with the traditional french cheese, some perfectly cooked beef (medium-rare is medium-rare !) & sidedishes and a huge "myrtille" pie that I couldn't finish, despite being a rather healthy eater. If you're looking for some good food and want to avoid the "tourist trap" places, look no further !The lady serving us, with her little red/white apron, was really friendly and cheerful and added to the entire atmosphere. Add a glass of wine and you'll get the same amazing evening that we got !
We ate here a couple of times during a ski holiday in January. We returned there because it was such good value and had a nice friendly atmosphere. We chose the set menu of the day each time and everyone in our party of 9 (which included teens) could find something they wanted to eat.
This was my first visit to this restaurant during a week's skiing holiday with family and friends. It was very busy so booking was essential but even though they were busy we did not have to wait long for our orders to be taken or the food to come. We all had the set menu for 16 euros which was excellent. The soup starter was especially lovely coupled with excellent main courses and sweets. Definitely have the set menu - it was very good value for money. All in all an excellent first visit to this restaurant.
Been visiting here for the best part of 15 years. The staff are all friendly and the food is of an excellent standard for the price you pay. The set 3 course menu is our particular favourite, where I usually go for salad savoyard, beef steak and chocolate cake. As the French like their steak very rare, ask for your steak well done if you usually have medium-rare. Fantastic restaurant and will continue to come back.
