Wowza! Lézignan is becoming a gastronomic paradise (with a small p).....The owner is extraordinarily keen to welcome you and explain the menu which can be a little overbearing but once you have decided what to eat - the food is delicious (cooked by his Korean wife) and is sometimes even too spicy for British tastes! The décor would not be out of place in a city centre and we are very lucky to have the chance to eat Korean food in la France profonde.......

This is a great wee restaurant! The owner was very friendly as soon as we entered and happy to explain the contents of the menu. We took the 23 euro menu and were delighted with the tempura battered gambas and vegetable starter, the pork gallettes starters, the calamares main course and the beef sauté main course. The banana caramelle desert was great. Each course was freshly made by the owner's wife, who is Korean. Don't expect to arrive and leave quickly. Take your time and enjoy the ambiance. We will go back to this restaurant as the food was so good! As said by others, be sure to visit the loo! It's surprisingly nice.

It takes a lot of courage to open a Korean restaurant in a small city in the Languedoc. And one year on they are still going strong. This is a classic story of a Lezignan 20 year old who wanted to see the world and left. Many years later (at least 30 I would say) he has come back with a Korean wife (the chef) and decided to start the only serious non french restaurant in town.Very pleasant and very good food. Slightly on the pricy side but then again, your probability of having a real Korean Barbeque in the Languedoc are close to zero so you have to have a risk premium. As for the slowness mentioned in other reviews, what's your hurry?I hope it stays for many years. It is a welcome change to the limited culinary offer in Lézignan.

This restaurant had been recommended to us by friends who had visited for an evening meal in May. We had been to the market and were wandering back to our car when we passed the restaurant and decided on the spur of the moment to have lunch. The decoration is nicely done and as previously mentioned the toilet is interesting with a wall mounted water feature. The menu de jour was very interesting and we decided to have different starters and main courses so we could share. The food was very good, presentation was excellent and we enjoyed chatting to the owner, whose Korean wife if the chef. The only down side, as previously mentioned is that the wine list is restricted to bottles of the local château, although these are very good wines. A very enjoyable lunch and we shall return.

Went with friends on Tuesday and had a lovely meal. The service was friendly without being intrusive and at the right pace. The food was fresh and very tasty. A nice touch, because we were British, they offered us more spicy dips than the French like. Not mouth burning but definately 'hotter'. We will certainly be going back for another meal.

We (5 of us) visited on a Tuesday night, restaurant was busy and the owner greeted us warmly. he was very attentive to all tables explaining the dishes as he served them which did make service very slow but I would disagree that it was 'unprofessional'.Food was fresh and very tasty, we were given delicious spring rolls as a complimentary dish while we reviewed the menu. We opted for the 28 Euro Set Menu, tempura, barbeque beef, chicken and lemongrass soup and dessert all presented well and tasted delicious. No actual sign of the Kimchi as the French have rules on it due to the fermentation process apparently!Well worth a visit and be sure to check out the loo!

We wandered a little away from the main street and discovered this nice looking restaurant. The menu looked ok, so we decided to try the restaurant. The waiting staff is kind, but far from professional. The atmosphere was ok. Before we ordered it was mentioned that it would take a while to prepare the food, since everything was "so fresh", according to the owner. I am not sure why "so fresh" food takes so much longer to prepare than "other" food, but the wait was excruciatingly long (with only one other table of 4 people in the restaurant!) The food was good, but way too expensive for what you get. We found a few better alternatives in town, at a better price, faster service that are serving food made with fresh local ingredients as well.

This is the latest addition to Restaurants in Lezignan and provides a refreshing change to from the usual fare of pizzarias, cafes, and (on the whole) fairly basic French cuisine. The service was excellent and attentive, the food was delicious and well presented by the (genuinely) Korean chef. A slight downside was the limited choice of wine. Only slight because it all came from one of the top producers in the area. We will look forward to our next visit.
