We stopped here for lunch, based on TripAdvisor recommendations. The only free table in the tiny restaurant was next to the toilet, so we chose to eat at one of the outside tables, next to a fairly busy road. My wife chose the Menu Du Marché at Euro 17, I the seasonal menu at Euro 28. She started with melon in port, followed by fish with a mixed vegetable gratin and a chocolate and nut cream dessert. My starter was a green salad with smoked duck, tomatoes and peaches, my main veal with the same vegetable gratin. Dessert was an overly sweet and rather anonymous cream with passion fruit. Except for my starter, which was very good, the meal was rather routine, and mine not really worth the money. Service was glacially slow, and we spent long periods gazing at our empty plates before they were taken away. With two beers, one glass of rosé and a small bottle of water, our bill was Euro 59.

Superb home cooked traditional French cuisine, from local produce, served with style and very good value on the "fixed price" evening dinner.

the food was excellent. however, the only waitress was inefficient and very unfriendly. plus: the restaurant cheats! 1 glass of 15cl of champagne for 8 euros is served a non-calibrated glass of 10cl. we talked to the waitress (wife of chef) about it and we were treated with much anger. they even reprinted the page in the menu and took out the 15cl. what a circus. their reputation is known. too bad for the good food.

Traditional french cuisine, good sized portions and strong flavours. We enjoyed prawn salad, mushrooms in puff pastry, guinea fowl and river fish and creme brûlée. Wines are quite expensive. Service is impeccable, not sure how owner managed to serve a full restaurant so promptly. Well worth a visit.

It was good to sit in this small restaurant in the (relative) cool of the evening to enjoy imaginative dishes and friendly service. There is a good choice of dishes, and food is tasty and well presented. It is traditional French cuisine.and is good value for money. Wine is not over priced It is the sort of place you hope you will find when you look for somewhere to eat in a French town.

I was there for lunch with friends, and the atmosphere was really nice. le chef de la maison is very personable and courteous. The menu was great, fresh made, tasty and for a fair price. We really enjoyed it there ... but, no 5 points because of the wine. I asked the chef de la maison to recommend a wine to the menu. My friend and I had the same menu and he offered us, a Poulsard (rouge) and a Chardonnay. In my opinion (and for a better understanding, I work as a caviste "TOUVIN" dans la Franche-Comté in the winebusiness) for Rognons, it should have been a Cab Franc or a redwine from Cahor. And for the alternative in white, yes a wine from Jura matches perfect, but maybe not a Chardonnay, a Savagnin would done her job much better. But most of all, I was also a little bit disappointed of the price for 0,1l of wine, 4.50 € for that quality was too much. Sucré et Salé is really very good, but the next time I will choose myself the wine from the wine card. :-)
