Taverne de Maitre Kanter

We visited Meaux over Christmas and found very few restaurants open, especially on the Sunday. We tried Maitre Kanter as the food sounded interesting. Unfortunately the food was dire and expensive. The burger pattie was very dry and under seasoned, the salmon was over cooked and the batter on the fish was thick and soggy. We didn't bother looking at the desserts. The only redeeming feature was the friendly and helpful waitress and the OK wine. Avoid this restaurant.

Il s'agit d'une version à service complet de la chaîne Maitre Kanter et une excellente en plus. Un personnel amical, une excellente cuisine, un bar bien approvisionné et un emplacement idéal font de ce restaurant un lieu incontournable, surtout si vous êtes à Meaux pour visiter le musée relativement nouveau de la Première Guerre mondiale. Le service était rapide et ils acceptent les cartes de crédit américaines.

Family restaurant with a lot of different plates, both traditional French cuisine and Alsace specialties. Wine list is corresponding, with wines from various regions in France. Prices are moderate. Excellent place for families, but quiet tables at hand as well. Not really haute cuisine, but nevertheless very, very nice.

I found apiece of plastic in my hamburger. When I pointed it out to the waiter, he mumbled that he didn't speak English. This attitude is unacceptable and the least that can be expected is an apology or a discount on the bill but none were offered. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Bon menu, bon personnel, ambiance sympa, mais pour se réchauffer à l'intérieur du restaurant ! La nourriture était livrée très rapidement. Le dessert était vraiment bon (gâteau de lave au chocolat.)
