This restaurant was recommended by French friends as being THE place to eat and has a Michelin star. So I took husband to celebrate a very special anniversaire. The location and the decoration are excellent, the service very french which means a stiff smile which never reaches the eyes and very formel but that is how it is here. The lobster bisque was so, so salty and I could not eat more than 2 spoonfuls. Having had this dish the previous week in another restauant and so enjoyed it, I was disappointed. The main course was fish which was beautifullly cooked but, once again, so salty. The vegetable was "mousseline de choux-fleur au curry" !!! about 2 large spoonfuls. This is the sort of vegetable I used to feed to my baby to ween her from the bottle, minus "le curry", of course. My husband had the set dessert but pronounced it too sweet, dry and hard. Luckily I am coeliac so had a wonderful desset specially prepared: fresh pineapple with air dried vanilla sticks. Coffee and the local white wine was superb. We will not go again. This is obviously a French restaurant for French tastes as all the reviews I have read RAVE about it. Will not ever go there again or recommend it.

Wonderful lunch yesterday..we are still trying to decide which was the best course...unsuccessfully, everymouthful was delicious. Delightfull staff, and just super super food, it was fairly expensive, but so good we'll definitely be going back.

This gastronomic restaurant offers tapas style options on its menu.Nicely appointed dining room.Extensive wine list.My appetizer of crab nicely done ,portion rather small.Main course of turbot in green sauce very good.Cheese plate excellent and generous.Oddly there was much less generosity serving bread as the hostess was counting what I ate as if rationing me !Great Bergerac white wine.Expensive though.

Creative cuisine with sometimes unusual combinations and exotic ingredients, always successful. The service was efficient and warm, always a feeling like home without being invasive. We had the lobster menu, very tasty and surprising, delicious! After dinner, the chef M. Dupouy insisted in driving us back to our hotel, we can hardly imagine a higher level of gentleness!

Mostly French ingredients, but with unusual elements such as Maldon salt from England, a few African spices discreetly addd to the dishes made for a really enjoyable meal; the chef's African wife really knows how to welcome gusts. The décor is a little too classical for my taste, but tht is not the most important detail of a trip to a restaurant!

We had a lovely dinner. Great service, tranquil restaurant, beautiful food presentation and great taste. Reasonable priced. The wine list is very extensive. We will be back and recommend.

We had an excellent lunch! Chef just got back from the market with fresh local products. We were served by his wonderful wife. Great client service, attention to all clients, great food with a beautiful presentation and reasonable portions. I'm surprised that this restaurant has only 1 Michelin star. We had an excellent time there! Definitely recommend!!!

This was a celebration dinner for my wife’s birthday – it was a most enjoyable and memorable meal in very pleasant surroundings. The menu is not very large but offers a good choice of freshly prepared products –for starter, we enjoyed some crab and Foie Gras which was followed by Coquilles St. Jacques and Bream both served on a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. This was followed by some local cheese and we drank a very pleasant local “Jurancon” dry white – the staff were adequately attentive making this a memorable evening.
