Ate here tonight. The interior is real contemporary, not typical restaurant. The staff, especially the waiter, were friendly. He was super-helpful, explaining all the dishes in English, which was appreciated. The food was superb, and resembled Michellin quality. Prices were about right too (2 mains, 2 dessert, 2 drinks @ €80).Booking is mandatory. The place was full.

We arrived without a reservation and a very nice and outgoing lady took care of us right away by finding a table for us without the usual "I'll find a table for you but how dare you show up without a reservation" attitude so beloved by many French waiters. Food is very well prepared. You can expect contemporary French bistrot-style cuisine, rather elegant and I would say unusual compared to most other Nice restaurants. Excellent place to take your date, people kind of dressed up with service being serious and not casual. Had a delicious duck with fresh fruit (photo), a very tasty "brouillade" (scrambled eggs with wild mushrooms) and perfectly cooked fresh tuna. Will definitely visit again next year!

There are many good restaurants in Nice but this is my favourite at the moment. It's a perfect combination of delicious food, friendly service and excellent athmosphere. The risotto was just amazing - so delicious - absolutely one of the best that I have ever had. Will definitely go back. Strong recommendation.

First of all, I'll begin with the positives. The staff were super friendly and the café was super clean with a nice ambiance. They gave me a good welcome even though I was dressed like a typical American tourist. I found this place on Google after I wanted to try some authentic French cuisine. When I came here, the waiter presented the menu in French as I can understand some French. I decided to order the foil gras as it's a famous French dish. So after I ate it a morsel of it did I realize that it wasn't cooked! Now you'd think that it'd be common sense to know the difference between raw and cooked meat but I didn't in this case as I've never really seen foie gras before, only heard about it from friends. I also don't remember the waiter telling me that it wasn't cooked/was raw. Four days later, I got a food-borne illness which I believe came from this as raw meat can house parasites. Therefore I'd advise you all to be careful about what you select to eat here. I ordered the risotto too and while that took rather long to make, it was pretty good and I'd say that this was the saving grace to that meal.

Perfectly judged service and excellent food. We really enjoyed our lunch of octopus, lobster risotto and various desserts. Fun!

My daughter and I ate at the sister restaurant Mon Petit Cafe earlier in the week, and had such a wonderful meal that we made reservations for Le Sejour. Both restaurants are located in walking distance from the Boscolo hotel and two blocks off a pedestrian shopping street. We were warmly greeted and the menu was explained to us in English with a pleasant attitude. The restaurant is cozy and chic at the same time. I ordered the shrimp risotto, and my daughter ordered the sea bream. We have traveled many places in France, and I can't think of another place where we had such delicious food and warm service combined. Every bite was to be savored and enjoyed. We finished the meal with a chocolate dessert that exceeded our expectations. This was our second visit in one week, and I was truly touched when the lady manager came bursting out of the restaurant as we walked away to wish us a good night and to say thank you. This experience makes me want to live in Nice, and visit my favorite local restaurant every week. Love this place and the staff!
