Been in France for two week family holiday, this was definitely one of the best meals we have had.! Bouef Bourguignon excellent. Recommended great wine from Nuits St Georges and we visited vineyard next day. A great gastronomic experience, highly recommend

Away from the crowd in Nuits St Georges is this small, elegant place in what appears to have been a medieval tower. When we went in May 2017, there were several tables outside in the courtyard, and we sat there. The three-course meal, wine, and...More

It's a shame trip advisor don't have a good rating - it goes from average to very good - this was good. We made a reservation two weeks before as it was a Friday night - so not just walking in. We waited about fifteen minutes before they brought over the menus, we asked for a bottle of water about four times from two different staff. We don't speak French and they don't really speak English - menu wasn't that easy to translate! It was an hour before our first course arrived - we were so hungry whilst waiting we asked for bread - at least that came quite quickly. Either under staffed or inadequately trained. Fortunately it was a lovely evening and we ate outside - don't think I would have enjoyed the evening waiting so long inside.

This is a really good address in Nuits Saint Georges. I was very impressed by the quality of the food. I just wanted to taste all the dishes on the menu from starter, maincours to dessert. I had my spoon in all my fellow travlers plat and everything we had was just delicious. We where her for lunch but we will be back for diner next time. The service is also in top. Keep on with the good job - bourgondie need more restaurants like La Cabotte.

Was last week witha business partner in Burgundy and had a stop in Nuits St. Georges. Dinner in La Cabotte was a logical choice as it is supposed the best place in town.Food was definitely fine, we ordered a 3 cours menu and all was fine. I did reserve approx. 10 days in advance and was rather upset to be seated in front of the door where regularly a cold wind blown trough the first dinner room. Of course not being a regular you get the worst possible table. In all fairness after a while they did switch the heating on.Service was quite basic, starter finished and within 2 minutes or less the maincourse came when we with pleasure emptied our it took over 30 minutes before the desserts came...timing the French way! Overall experience a 6.5/10.

I booked lunch for a catch-up with two former work colleagues. Asked for a quiet table and we had a nice round one at the back. The restaurant - which isn't large - was packed but the noise level was manageable. We had Oeuf en Meurette, game terrine, Blythburgh pork rump and wild mushroom risotto with artichoke - all faultless. With two vegetables, a couple of glasses of red wine, two beers and coffee, the bill was just under £40 per head which seemed very reasonable for excellent food and service. It's not easy to find good, unpretentious food in the City and I will definitely return.

Incredible food, incredibly served)) Langoustine salad is amazing, plate of cheeses as well. Café Gourmand with pannacota, Creme a chocolate and Creme-brulee was the best we've ever eaten :) Highly recommended!

This was one of the best meals we ate on our trip. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared, from the amuse-bouche to the superb desert. In between we tried oeufs poches, which had a great balance between richness and sharpness, boeuf bourgignon which was full of flavour, and cod that was balanced by stir-fried vegetables. Wines by the glass were exceptional value. A lovely experience.
