I booked lunch for a catch-up with two former work colleagues. Asked for a quiet table and we had a nice round one at the back. The restaurant - which isn't large - was packed but the noise level was manageable. We had Oeuf en Meurette, game terrine, Blythburgh pork rump and wild mushroom risotto with artichoke - all faultless. With two vegetables, a couple of glasses of red wine, two beers and coffee, the bill was just under £40 per head which seemed very reasonable for excellent food and service. It's not easy to find good, unpretentious food in the City and I will definitely return.
