Thank you for these partial clarifications. it seems to me that my remark about the Belgian tourist asking something to eat because all the other restaurants were closed was not understood. We simply wanted to say that a slice of paté, a salad or a omelette to take away would have done the job! a lyon a cork wouldn't have hesitated or even another nice restaurant not far to the rooms.
We had dinner on a Sunday evening and there was no frog thigh or bresse chicken or seafood gratin. the food was any and far less than that proposed 2 days before. even the beef was hard like a stone. But the worst is that the marlene boss refused to serve hungry tourists at 7:30 p.m. under the pretext that all the tables were reserved while the room was almost empty, the bar was empty and the terrace too. the restaurant could have offered them a salad or a country pass. Since no other restaurant was opened in the area..the patrone said "in Beaujolais we must always book to eat !" that these tourists of French gastronomy must think!
