Went in and was offered a seat at the back by the river. Noisy kids on next table so asked to move to front of restaurant. Ordered expensive wine. Group of five come in with massive dog and park themselves on next table - are you serious ? Yes says the owner. We promptly cancel the wine and leave.

Hard to find a restaurant on Monday night. Walked down the main street of Ornans and found this spot. From the front it looked empty but that is because everyone sat out back in the enclosed porch overlooking the river. Had one of the best pizzas ever for a reasonable price.

Have eaten here many times. Child friendly. Great pizza. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Ask for a table on the enclosed terrace in the evening, it overlooks the beautifully lit up river. They do takeaways too.

Visited with family at the end of a very long day of driving. We were hoping to find a traditional French restaurant. This sort of fitted the bill, it had a number of French dishes, but their main interest appears to be pizza made in their pizza oven. They were good value and a fair bit cheaper than the French dishes. We were given a table in what appears to be an extension over the river. Great views over the water with the old waterside buildings lit up in blue. Bats feeding. Very tranquil.

Excellent job to fit us in at last moment, but with hindsight it was a mistake on both parties behalf. Food was well presented and as a stock in trade restaurant did what it said on the tin. Nothing to fancy and good bistro standard food.

We stayed in Ornans 2 weeks and ate here 3 times. A very varied menu of local specialities including river fish, also a wide choice of pizzas and pastas. We tried a variety of items between the 4 of us over the time including trout, sandre (a type of perch,) duck, lamb and a pasta dish, all cooked and presented very nicely, and although we did not eat pizza those we saw certainly looked good. The staff were more than friendly helping us to understand the french words describing the sauces and methods of cooking. Despite the hot weather the inside tables overlooking the river were special, eating during the week we got a window table without booking. Desserts and wine also living up to the rest. Overall all highly reccomended.

We ate here twice when in Ornans. The first time we had the wood fired pizza and it was delicious and very reasonable. We had a table, inside, overlooking the river Loue and could see all the old houses perched over the river, a lovely site as the evening light changes on the river. The second time we started with some local aperitifs such as macvin and suze- very different! We also tried some house specialities, we had trout in vin jaune, troute meuniere, foie gras and morels. The bill for that was obviously larger but still reasonable and completely worth it; the ingredients were fresh and everything was beautifully cooked. We had the same amazing view for the second meal too. If you want a table by the river it's smart to reserve in advance.This restaurant also has a traiteur, meaning you can stop by and take out food for a picnic etc.
