It was 1992 when I discovered this gem of a restaurant. Call it a Bistro, call it a Brasserie but whatever you call it, you know you are going to get a superbly prepared and excellent tasting meal. Her food never fails to satisfy. La Dame's appetizers are unlike any others: green salad with walnuts, sun dried tomatoes with goat cheese, escargot in roquefort sauce, etc. My favorite entrees have been the gambas (jumbo prawns), steak with herbs of Provence, and duck filet in coriander. Her homemade desserts are always a lovely surprise: crumble of the day, tart of the day, homemade creme caramel and so many others. Not a big place but there is an upstairs and also outdoor seating. The wine list is good and reasonably priced. The Formula is a good deal (starter, entree, dessert). Claude always greets us with a warm welcome, that is, if she is not overseeing the happenings in her kitchen.
