All good in terms of execution and location but the price v quality ratio was a bit out on the wonk i.e. I didn't think I got 30-40% better food for the increased price. Hey ho.

We had a very nice meal here last night. The food was lovely. The service and the wine and the atmosphere was also very good. However. We came to pay the bill and we're informed that the credit card terminal was out ! Not having €120 cash. I had to go traipsing around town trying to find an ATM. When I read previous reviews. It seems as if the card machine has been down since October 2014 !

Wow, the St Roch in Pézenas is really impressive. The new owners - a young chef from Paris - is so open to trying new things. We let them know a day before to expect two vegetarians and a vegan. What effort they made. The chef did his research and created a fabulous tasty three course meal for each of us, even inventing a new desert. We were offered a sage & white wine apéritif, and started with a celery soup (a first for me - divine!). Then the vegetarians had a beautiful display of individual vegetables with honey glaze & herbed mousse, while our vegan friend had a display of vegetables in a light envelope wraps, unusually spiced (ginger, cardamon, cinnamon & nutmeg) and a side dish of seasoned rice and dried druit. The desert was so fresh and light; different kinds of thinly sliced fresh apple layered into a cylinder between layers of finely sliced basil and "jellified" fresh mint made with a special algae sourced by the chef (obviously can't use gelatine). And superb coffee. One of the best meals I've had in this region.

We were sat in the courtyard at the front, lots of flies buzzing about which made the experience uncomfortable. Food was ok but nothing special - they did not infor m us that they had run out of a meal just substituted it as they saw fit, without giving us the option to choose something else. Service was friendly but would not return.

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise. Right in the center of historic Pézenas, this restaurant serves wonderful, creative food. The service was friendly and very attentive. We got excellent recommendations for food and wine. Everything is grown in France and they use only local products. No prefab/industrialized food here! Everything is made from scratch. It looks beautiful on the plats and tastes delicious. We will definitely go back soon.

We stopped off at Pezenas for a Friday evening meal and were not disappointed with this little gem hidden away in the old city. The starter (Pezanas special) was excellent amd the main dishes superb, in fact it was all too filling we only managed to share the cheese and forgo the desert, next time we hope to try the deserts as they looked scrummy!
