Had a meal here with my partner a couple of days ago, meal was ok for what it was, however the waiter made it plain that he had no English I accept this ,however when I paid the bill he gave no change ,when I challenged him he protested his lack of English and slapped a card in my hand, I had to protest further he then realised I would not go without my change he turned opened the till and gave me my change . It was quite clear that he was using his lack of English to decide his own tip ,that is the customers decision not his. It would be interesting to know if this happed before so the owners can put a stop to it
Convenient place for lunch after a wonderful riverside walk. Busy, but not noisy. I had the set Breton menu - crepe with ham and andouille, pork with apple sauce and frites, and apple sorbet. The staff were friendly, and understanding when my French let me down. The meal was nice - nothing spectacular, but very good value at £14.
