This restaurant is just on the plaza in front of town hall. Very good service and welcome. Everything seems to be done by the house. Good meat. Free digestive at the end with caramel and vodka

We visited last night for dinner, the first restaurant stop on our month long tour of Europe and we're delighted with the experience, this is a high end restaurant in an excellent location, the staff were brilliant in explaining the menu and very helpful, we choose from the specials board for starters and main, the starter which we shared was a baked cheese tart and for mains my wife opted for prawn and crab salad while I opted for scallops, both meals were delicious and presentation was amazing, we choose the rose which was recommended by the house manager which again was excellent, a big thank you to everyone at Le Rivoli for making our visit a memorable occasion .

Staying in Roubaix, we found this excellent restaurant situated in the heart of the town. We booked in for lunch since this is obviously a very popular venue which has lost none of its personal touch. The seating areas are homely and comfortable. The welcome is warm and informative. The menu offers a different daily limited range of tempting dishes, prepared by the chef patron. The range is sure to please any palette. The freshly cooked dishes are typical of the region which borders on Belgium. Every detail, down to the excellent vinaigrette and the cafe gourmand, is well-considered. The service is efficient and discreet. The chef patron comes out to make sure that you enjoyed your meal. And we did. An excellent experience at a reasonable price. If you are in Roubaix, do eat here!

A very nice place to go in. as for business, as with couples as with family. The service was great and the attendance was very sympathetic, and we were surprised with cheef presence who explained the dishes and helped to dicide. We tried a regional taste and it was excellent. I recommended it to my friends, for sure.I will come back

A group of four of us visited for dinner off the back of the reviews on this site. Whilst the restaurant was quiet, other diners appeared to be locals which always augers well. The waiter who looked after us spoke English better than we spoke French and was able to explain the menu to us so that we could make informed decisions. Throughout the waiter provided an excellent service, and a very friendly rapport was established. The chef came out to ensure all was well as the excellent dishes arrived. Our choices ranged from escargots to pate all of which were tasty. I had a cold dish of Rabbit, chicken and pork for main course. This was different to anything I had ever had and was both tasty and plentiful. Other main courses were of a similar nature and quality. Puddings too were consumed (I normally don't have pud but the tarte tatin was beautiful). All washed down with a good wine and followed up with caramel vodka. All in all this is a little gem of a restaurant which relies on good local dishes complemented by very good service. If you go to Roubaix try and make it to this restaurant. Different to the usual bistro type establishments and much better.

No modern take off on traditional dishes, no discounts on the amounts of fat, butter and cream used in any dish and a design concept from the early 70's - BUT a landlord / chef proud of his work, a desire to please and one hell of an heritage to rely on (French cuisine that is...).The result is surprisingly good and very satisfying if you know what to expect

I ate lunch here with a group of 5 others a few weeks ago, it was not our first choice - the restaurant originally chosen had been commandeered by the Swiss football team! But we were so delighted we chose Le Rivoli - the food is heavenly, probably the most authentic French dining experience of our 4 days in this region. The chef prides himself on his cooking and, as mentioned by other reviewers, goes around the tables to make sure everyone is happy. His tagliatelle is better than I have eaten in Italy, he is amazingly talented. A wonderful experience!

This restaurant is a very classic french styled bistrot right across from the city hall in roubaix. My guest had escargots and the andouillette while I had the parma ham appetizers followed by a duck confit cassoulet. The cassoulet was astonishing! The wine of the day was a great value at 23 euros for the bottle. The owner / chef walks the floor and talks with people. He was very friendly and seemed to really care about what we thought of the food.
