This was a real 'stab in the dark' en route south and needing lunch. The food was excellent, of the type that you would be served in some chi - chi London restaurants but at half the price. Pleasant surroundings and staff. We were glad we stopped very soon after midday as it filled up rapidly with locals.An utterly wonderful leek starter and fish main course. Delicious desserts. Good wine listEasy parking outside in the street.

We stopped off here on our way north on the A6 on a Sunday without booking.The restaurant was full of locals having Sunday lunch, but luckily there was space for two of us. We had the €25 menu each which was excellent.The staff were pleasant and efficient.The ambience was very pleasant and the location convenient on the main road out of Villefranche sur Saône.

This restaurant is so rightly the Tripadvisor top restaurant in Saint-Georges-de-Reneins. They serve high quality food with effortless charm - it has to be one of our all time favourites. It works just as well for lunch (week or weekend) or in the evening. The menus are all reasonably priced and the suggestions great. The food follows the seasons and traditions of the region.

We just keep coming back... Every time we introduce friends to this restaurant they also fall in love with it... Easter, Birthdays, Mothering Sunday all wonderful... Just an evening meal or Sunday lunch brilliant... Have a dietary need (our son is a coeliac) with advanced warning no problem.They look after us here, we are regulars and as the menu changes (with the seasons) we enjoy it more and more.

Very good food, slightly elegant atmosphere in main dining room, pleasant garden dining. Excellent value for money. Very slightly reminiscent of old family restaurant rather than sophisticated...

Here you can dine in style - up and coming or well on the way, this is a friendly restaurant with a great menu which changes with the seasons. We are here often as it does both great lunches and evenings. The staff look after us well, the wine list is great plus local the set menus fair in price and the quality great. We need more like this!

We loved this place - the food was to die for and the service excellent. A definite must! There was nothing we didn't like!

The menu was nice and the food delicious. The only complaint was the static radio alternating between news and pop music.
