We did spend dinner with the family and it was ok. There is a playground for the kids which is great. The ambiance is fine. The food is very average and the pizza especially the paste was vey French. The meat ok but too much cooked but the salads were good. However we have spend a nice evening.
When we arrived here as a family to enjoy a nice time together, the first thing we were told was to NOT order different dishes each as it was not convenient for the cook and we should not complain to be served late.... That was...after being told when we booked that we’d better not come late ! Then the waiter explained that many bad clients order different things and then complain that it takes time to come...We nevertheless ordered what we wanted. A lady then brought the drinks and dropped half of them on the floor on the way. The dishes came reasonably on time but in various batches, and absolutely every dish had some sugary sauce or some sweet components to it, including starters and main dishes, and of course the sweets, very sweet indeed. probably to mask the bitterness of the owner Finally when we left there to go have a dip in the river down the road before to leave, the owner shouted at us that we had to move our cars from his parking and go park by the river as we were no more clients in his restaurant from that moment ! He abused one of us in particular who refused to return to the parking...because he had no car there ! he came in the car of his brother) Very unfriendly place and not that good food either frankly. The salads were huge but awful. Only the entrecôte steak and beef burgers was good. Fish burger not good ! Bread not good either. Squids a la plancha were absolutely tasteless and dry, probably just defrost. Broccoli purée was served as side dish to many of us...in summer...probably not fresh and not tasting good.
Beautiful location, you will need to book in advance. Stunning views and wonderful food...... totally relaxing atmosphere and all at a great price. These guys work really hard to make you visit perfect.... hours flew by and the lemon desert was one of the...best we've ever tasted. We would definitely recommend you try this place if you are in the ardeche and get a chance.
