We will remember our lunch on the lovely terrace of Le Clos de la Marne for a long time. When the chef and the hosts enjoy and take pride in their fine trade, it turns a lunch into a true culinary experience. All the dishes were imaginatively presented and cooked to perfection. Excellent value for money. Thank you.
Came here with a group of business colleagues. Small restaurant has some interesting decor and 'front of house' was welcoming. Service was calm, efficient and friendly. Choice on offer apparently fixed for some time, but range on offer quite varied. Starters were well-presented and very enjoyable. Main course was well-presented and excellently cooked. Desserts similar arrived showing care and attention. Portion sizes well-judged to leave a 3-course meal heartily enjoyed without feeling totally sated. Ambience (Monday evening) with a full restaurant was quiet, restful and very enjoyable. Definitely a return visit warranted; a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Our 2nd visit here, was an extremely nice meal. It's not the cheapest in the area, but it is definitely worth a visit. I had the poached eggs to start with Steak as the main. Both were beautifully cooked and presented.The restaurant itself has lots and lots of hearts around, either as décor, in a picture or made from something, it was almost like being in a relatives dining room, rather than a restaurant. It was almost full the even we visited, but never felt over crowded or noisy.The waitress was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble (like my pepper sauce instead of the red wine jus it was supposed to have)We will be coming back (yet again!).
très bonne table sur les bords de marne à saint maur des fossés. salle décorée avec goût, mais pas de terrasse. menu plat et plats aux plats ont été très bien présentés et le goût raffiné, nous avons pris des jacques et du saumon qui ont été précisément cuits et accompagnés.
