L'Ardoise - Réserver une table

We came here on Sunday for lunch and to catch up with friends. What a treat! We arrived early (midday) as we were concerned it may have been too busy to get in without reservations, (saw on earlier Trip Advisor reviews that it was best to book) but the restaurant was quiet and we were welcomed and provided a table straight away. In fact it did not get busy all lunchtime, we were only one of about four parties there all through the lunchtime service. I put this down to it being Sunday when lots of places are not even open, Sunday being very much a family day in Brittany. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. A simple menu but beautifully presented and delicious. Staff were very welcoming and the chef very helpful when we struggled with our poor grasp of the French language. He was able to explain in English what we were actually ordering! Great time had by all and would definitely recommend this restaurant. Only one negative thing I noticed, not much choice if one was vegetarian. However I am sure chef would have accommodated if this had been an issue. We will definitely return!

My family and I had a wonderful dining experience here. The chef and staff were very welcoming and explained the menu in detail to us in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There's an open kitchen where you can see the chef preparing and when the food arrived we couldn't fault it. I had monkfish au curry which was absolutely delicious. One of the best meals we've ever had in France.

Le chef fait une partie de la cuisine dans la salle, c'est un genre intéressant. Par contre, cela réduit le nombre de plats qui sont proposés sur l'ardoise qui sert de carte, d'où le nom du resto. Par contre c'est aussi un signe de fraîcheur pour tous les plats, rien à cacher. L'accueil y est sympathique, le rapport qualité prix est satisfaisant, une adresse à tester sur St Pol.

local with open kitchen, the owner personally prepares every dish, very scrupulous and concentrated, nice and friendly staff, I had lunch with my husband on the day of his birthday, he ordered pork sausage with red onion of roscoff, and hormeux spread, excellent. I curry of rospo tail, with Indian flavor and nan bread. I recommend it to friends of passage from Saint pol de leon.

Restaurant superbe ! La cuisine est pleine de saveurs, ce fut pour mon compagnon et moi un moment agréable. Les plats sont fins et raffinés et les portions généreuses.Je recommande sans hésitation, vous passerez un moment agréable.
