We visited on recommendation. Not sure If they could have been any less friendly. Felt very uncomfortable and our attempts to engage with the female owner were met with monosyllabic grunts. It became obvious that geniality was saved for locals/regulars. To the owner - Remember, as an American, you too were once a visitor. Shame you can't extend the welcome that you got in France. Hey ho - my advice, don't bother unless you already belong to the clique.

This is a great place to taste local wines, cheese and charcuterie. Lovely location and very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Perfect little cafe set in the middle of a working French village. Superb choice of local wines and various coffees, together with fromage/charcuterie boards and cakes. Very reasonably priced and superb quality.

My sister from Uzes, a small village nearby, brought me here for lunch. The owner Amy very welcoming. She and her husband are from USA and now reside here. I had the spinach soup which was absolutely delicious. My sister had an assorted meat and cheese plate accompanied by a salad. We accompanied the meal with a glass of red and rose wine from the owner's winery. Highly recommend this place to anyone staying or traveling through the area. Thank you Amy for a memorable lunch!

A tasteful light lunch with a superb red wine made by the owner. Well worth a visit. The town is beautiful and it was really good the owner spoke excellent English. The place has easy parking around , has a number of local jewellery items for sale. Saw the largest ever pumpkin on display.

First visit to La Grange which has been open almost a year. First of many hopefully.Vers on a Sunday is a quiet, private town. You need to navigate narrow streets to find La Grange at its centre. This old barn has been restored with care and become a welcoming high-ceiling end cafe full of light, the buzz of conversation, carefully selected food and drink and a genuine warmth given by the proprietors. It's small but very personal. The owners select the ingredients, coffee, teas and drinks, (in some cases produce them), prepare your order then serve you.We ordered glasses of local wine and shared quickly- assembled plates of local cheese, ham and saucisson alongside homemade humus, tapenade, fig jam and pickles. All very tasty and representing local flavours at their best.Around us other patrons enjoyed their coffees, tisanes and slices of homemade cakeOur only quibble would be that there was not a greater choice of food available - perhaps because it was Sunday. In any case the welcome was warm and it is obvious that the owners care about every plate or drink they serve.I hope to go back to sit on the terrace, watch the slow rhythms of Vers and enjoy the hospitality of La Grange many times in future.PS it shouldn't matter but if you are not confident of your French the proprietors speak English !

This lovely place is a sort of wine bar/eaterie. The two women who run it speak English. The wine is from the family business and very good indeed. They sell local ale in bottles. They also serve lovely cheese, charcuterie, tapenades etc. Also sometimes have savoury tarts, puddings etc. We ate there twice. Tables outside are very good for watching the world go by.

Nice place in a small village in a very pleasant square surrounded by trees. If you want to have lunch arrive early because as everything is fresh and made for the day it may finish very quickly.
