This restaurant far exceeded the recommendation we were given friendly reception. View over the bay was stunning. The two waiters were so helpful explaining different courses not rushed, so good to the children. The meals presentation was worthy of Gourmet star. The taste was fantastic my red mullet was something I had not tasted before. Fruits de Mer stunning and Moules mariners superb!!!Then I forgot starters wow just try any dish you will not be disappointed. The Normandy Apple Tarte, well heaven and as for their local Cider best taste. Cannot fault this restaurant lovely staff and will definitely return.

This is a belated review for a visit in April 2016 but wanted to counter comments about staff. We found them to be helpful but the usual rule applied, do your best to speak in French. It is courteous to do so and you get much better service when you make it clear you are trying! The food was very good and they had organised a lovely window seat for us.

...but the food quality was average, I have to admit. The fish soup was pureed and rather untasty, the mules et frites were ok, and the ice-cream reasonable. I liked the varieties of beer on offer.

The most important part of this restaurant is the view, but the food is not bad. Most of the choices are seafood, but then when you are overlooking the sea that is what can be expected. If you can sit outside (weather-wise) it's pure heaven, but even in the winter, you can sit in the restaurant's 1st floor and look at the sea.

Worth paying a little extra for the top menu (only 33 Euros) if you can manage the four courses. Great seafood soup (in an area where the competeion is strong) and the whole sea bass is beautifully grilled and well presented. The first floor restaurant has lovely sea views to complement the food but its a tricky staircase. They will be happy to arrange a table downstairs, or on the terrace outside in better weather.

We have been coming here through a succession of owners over the last twenty five years and whilst the food has varied from time to time, it has generally been very good. The son of the present owner is the proprietor and he has very able staff both in the restaurant and the kitchen. The food, which being on the sea front is mainly fish, is well prepared and served well and attractively. There is a choice of menus to suit most tastes and very good daily dishes of fish from the local fishermen. The wines are realistically priced and the first floor dining room has great sea views, as of course do the tables on the promenade. You cannot reserve on the promenade but they will usually find you a seat except on special days. You should always reserve to get a good table with views on the first floor.

A very simple place with a traditional but large enough carte and friendly service, very important when you have a baby! I had a seafood platter, very reasonably priced and all fresh except perhaps for a single langoustine but I am Italian and picky. My husband had delicious mussels with roquefort sauce. We could not have dessert because the baby was getting impatient but we saw beautiful stuff passing by to the other tables. The other patrons were clearly regular clients and the general atmosphere was warm, which made our lunch very pleasant. Not much choice for wine but this is usually the case for this kind of places. We will return to try a menu since the fish dishes also looked very good.

After the first positive experience, we have reserved a table for the following evening (thank you Marc for having met my request: the table had a breathtaking view). Unfortunately, food apart - always delicious - I honestly cannot say the staff - exeption made for Mr Vasada - did the best to make us feel at ease (as, on the contrary, Marc did on the first evening, but unfortuantely he wasn't there on the second day).Believe me, I've been travelling around France for so many years and never felt so uneasy.Sorry, being unking and unprofessional is quite a serios matter in this business, good food isn't enough!
