We had a stopover in Vitry le Francois and needed an evening meal we happened upon La Grande Brasserie. Very commendable if not cheap. Very friendly service and service started at 18.15, which really quite unusual in France. Grenadin de veau au sauce morilles was excellent as was the salade de chevre chaud, which was frankly way too large as an entree. Many obvious regulars confined themselves to a single course and next time we would do so as well. A decent Macon Villages white and a Brouilly available by the glass and in half bottles.

The food was good but not great. The service was acceptable and the prices slightly high for the quality but nothing to complain about. I would probably eat here again if my favourites were closed.

A good choice of restaurant, if not exceptional. Nice choice from the menu - largely they specialise in sea food, but also had steak, etc. Service prompt and polite, good to a good brasserie standard, with prices to match. We liked it.

This is a good local restaurant serving a variety of seafood primarily and other dishes from Alsace. The skate wing was excellent as was the lamb my dinner companion ordered. We both had the same side on the plate: a medley of lightly sauted mixed vegetables, well prepared and a welcome light side dish. Dessert was lovely and rounded out the meal. The food was a good value for the prices.Service here needs to be addressed by management. We were seated and waited upon very well until the second waitress appeared for the shift at which point our waitress had to engage her in a very long and heated conversation of what seemed to be a personal nature. It was the second waitress that finally noticed us trying to flag our waitress and sent her over breaking off the conversation. After this our waitress was finished with us and we were waited on by the second waitress for some unknown reason. When asked for the bill this waitress took so long in bringing it that we had to pay at the bar before leaving.

We went to Vitry le François by chance, and were lucky enough to find La Grande Brasserie. It is a nice restaurant, with outdoor seating. I had the green salad with goat cheese and my husband had the plat du jour (rotisserie chicken with green beans -- which were by the way very well seasoned!). For dessert, I had the café gourmand (with a small creme brulee, crepe with a chocolate cream inside and a delicious walnut icecream), and my husband had the profiteroles, and they were delicious, and the dish was extremely generous too. Prices are what you find in a city the size of Vitry le François (plat du jour about 9 euros).

Très agréable. Cadre sympa. Service rapide le midi. Les serveurs ont été agréables. J ai pris un menu du jour entrée/plat à un rapport qualité/prix excellent, les œufs mimosas étaient vraiment bon avec mayonnaise maison. Le plat était bien garnit, le poisson bien cuisiné et la sauce était délicieux. Ma compagne a pris des moules/frites. Les frites sont maison et les moules était très bonnes. Une bonne adresse, je recommande.

Une soirée agréable, cadre chaleureux, très bon plats, enfin un restaurant digne de ce nom à Vitry, c'était l'anniversaire de notre fille, le gâteau commandé était à la hauteur de nos attentes et à notre grande surprise toute l'équipe est venue souhaiter et chanter joyeux anniversaire. Ne changez rien , super , merci.
