So I'll try again, my assessment is being deleted again and again. my baby shower was here yesterday and we were very disappointed by the venue and the event coordinator. my friend had booked the winter garden, 13 people confirmed and paid deposits. we were moved by our booked room for a larger booking and we were placed in the bar area. I get the business side of it, but it was first booked for our event and we were made to feel how our booking was 2nd grade. we were served in the afternoon, which was advertised as an unlimited tee and coffee, but they decided not to honor it and only to allow a drink. a few minutes to eat were said that they take away our food to put it on side panels, bec...
Last night, my 30th birthday party took place here. I was recommended here and so glad I was. diane booked the date with me and paid payment. diane and her team were busy eating for me and communicating with a woman. I have booked a shimmering wall / light up to 30, so I didn't have to worry about the day. on the day I arrived and kai was immediately handy to make sure that everything I wanted would be done. he checked the times to expose the buffet and checked me all night to see if there was anything he could do! he was amazing. a nice girl named katie made sure that all the glasses were collected there a lot! haha! she was really graceful that she did not get into anyone and was so polite...
The initial choice of savoury or sweet afternoon tea when booking was a bonus we chose savoury for a change. Excellent selection of sandwiches on various breads, cheese biscuits, pork pie, stuffed vine leaves bell peppers, a scone jam cream and...all the tea or coffee we could drink. Service was excellent eventhough the venue was busy due to a private function we were very well looked after. Everything was excellent big thank-you to Diane the chef- it was delicious we had so much we brought a box home. Highly recommended looking forward to visiting again soon.
The surroundings are lovely, especially when sat outside by the pond. I came for a quick bite to eat at lunch, which I had to order via the app. There were a couple of issues as the app would not let me select a dairy...alternative for the coffee, but it was resolved by the waitress. I had a panini which was nothing special, but perfectly nice. Réservez une table maintenant
Only down side, is that as a large group is that they, cannot/will not accommodate smaller groups within the group to order and pay separately. So please expect to send the money to one person in the group for them to pay it all. Having said that, the food was spot on, and the service was fantastic.
