"We always stopped here over the years for a meal on our way to Granada airport, usually their Menu del Dia. It was cheap and cheerful, edible and freshly cooked, and a useful pitstop for lunch with a glass of beer. The ladies lavatory was clean and spacious, but on our last visit the light bulb had gone and there was no light inside. The meson is situated on the carretera from Zafarraya to Alhama de Granada, a few km. distance from Zafarraya. There is a pension but we have never stayed there, perhaps one day we will."

"Soto de la Reina is a great restaurant located in the Salar road near Alhama de Granada. Ideal if you like to go for a drive in the countryside, located in km 12. The quality of the food including the tapas is excellent, gourmet standard and their architecture is modern, clean lines with the most fabulous views across a valley. The price you pay is average with an excellent service. It is worth a visit."
