"This is the restaurant of the Hotel Tossal d'Altea, number one on Tripadvisor's hotel list for Altea. It ia now called Restaurante Almassera de Guillem. We have an unusual allergy, and this was very well catered for, the chef taking a personal interest. We rarely eat at a hotel's restaurant more than once in a week's stay, but we ate nearly every night, a daily special menu changing every day, some inspired combinations of food, and quality wines included in the price. Even if not staying at hotel it is worth tracking down (see hotel reviews), long lunches by the pool or late dining indoors next to old olive-pressing machinery which gives a special atmosphere. Very good for an intimate meal as the restaurants in town can get very crowded."
