"After long retreat and gastronomic calm, it also pulls me out. For a long weekend stay to Neipperg, a part of Brackenheim (the largest wine-growing community in Württemberg). The magnificent nature park region Stromberg-Zabergäu is hardly known about the Stuttgart region. Fortunately, you almost want to say. Thus, this lush area, which is pampered by the climate, is not too crowded, although it invites for hiking, cycling, drinking. The Winzercafe in Neipperg was recommended to me by colleagues and is a real lucky hit. The rather new wooden house with the pregnant dark red façade, created according to ecological requirements, is located in the centre of Neipperg, just below the castle – but somewhat displaced from the main road. In the three-storey building you will find the café and three very bright, airy, sunny apartments with spacious balconies, all facing south. The property is managed by two generations of the Hönnige family, obviously very relaxed and harmonious. You will definitely feel comfortable and welcome from the first minute as a guest. While the very well maintained and comfortable apartments can be booked around the year, the Weingut Café has unfortunately only opened from Friday to Sunday, as well as on holidays. But then it is very pleased to get the best. The house is surrounded by a wonderful, slightly enchanted guest garden with lush flora. Here you can sit in a well maintained garden on wooden furniture, partly under a large apple tree or next to beautifully planted dry walls. They will be very attentive and affectionate by family members. The café places great emphasis on organic products and regional ingredients. It is baked with Demeter-Dinkelmehl from the nearby Spielberger Mühle, in the canal is Fairtrade Coffee from the roasting company Dinzler. In addition to the sweet bakery and the hearty flame cake, there are also ice cream, as well as numerous wines from the region and cocktails. Upon arrival on Sunday afternoon shortly after 2 a.m., the guest garden is almost completely occupied, with the tables of course having enough distance from each other. There are also many tables in bright, very welcoming interior with high-quality natural materials. At the counter you can admire the homemade cakes and cakes. We choose a Rhabarbkuchen (the piece for 2.70 euros), the acid note of which is accompanied by a marzipan layer and a hearty flame cake with onions and chives (8.20 euros). Herbs are freshly taken from the garden by Mrs Hönige. In addition, a cappuccino from the aromatic-strong Dinzler Coffee, then an intense Aperol Sprizz with fresh strawberries and several turns (4.80 euros), as well as a glass of sprayfresh rosé from the local wine cooperative Stromberg-Zabergäu. Everything is quickly served and properly executed. Only napkins are missing. The Dinkel products are very pleasant – the flame cake tastes very good and is not as crisp as usual, which I like well. At other tables we settled from far imposing cake creations that seem to all sound. The Winzercafe is pleased to be visited by families, as the little ones feel very comfortable here too. In the inviting garden, a playhouse, a fountain, some vehicles, a large sandbox. Free parking about half a dozen cars are available directly at the house. Many guests come on foot or by bike. The picturesque Neipperger Panoramaweg leads right past the house. The bus stop is also just a few steps away. You can buy organic wines from the Winzergenossenschaft Stromberg-Zabergäu here at WG prices. And those who do not want to go before a loud ambiguity should look at the apartments on the upper floor. Recommended."
