"The bistro “Aquarello” is located on the edge of the small village of Edersee right at the forecourt to the dam. After her visit and an extensive view over the lake we had the pleasure of having an ice cup and sitting on the terrace. Ambience Cleanliness The terrace is located in a car-free place overlooking the southern end of the dam. In the afternoon you have beautiful sun, a small stream wanders over the place and in the immediate vicinity is a water playground so that children can take care of while their parents still want to stay. The furniture usually consists of plastic, but there are also some wooden fittings. The interior is very bright through a lot of glass, otherwise something sober. Everything was so clean and well maintained, even the toilets worked perfectly. Service The young lady of the service welcomed us very kindly, accepted the order and checked everything for completeness with our large group. Unfortunately, maintenance then moved over a very long period. At certain intervals there were only two ice cups at our table, so the first had eaten long before the last was served. In the meantime, the neighboring table was always supplied with hot fish dishes, everything ran crazy. I don't know if the kitchen was still in winter sleep or the throw of the serviceman was severely underestimated or uncoordinated, at least that was not acceptable. Nevertheless, young people remained friendly and tried. Food Beverages The menu has a mix of ice cream, waffles, cakes and hot fish dishes, making everything you can enjoy here as a tourist. We decided: Various ice cups ice cream coffee and chocolate waffles My ice cup with walnuts was very successful with delicious nut and vanilla ice cream. My wife was also happy with her Amaretto cup. The waffles of the children also tasted the exceptionally good and were unusually large. There were no complaints from this site. All in all, a fairly successful stopover, even if the service is still significantly improved until the summer season."
