"At last, not as a holidaymaker, but as a UNIVERSITY in a great restaurant, as it is not often found here. We recently visited the beach smiles of Fehmarn with 5 people. What should I say, even when entering the restaurant, the guest room with a lot of love came up and a friendly staff we already knew from another snack restaurant received us very cordially. Why beach smiles? This new restaurant was recommended to us by friends (insulans) who specialize in common and appreciate warm hospitality. But I will speak later. Well, after we got our place, besides an aperitif the in-house beer was recommended. With a tasty drink in the hand it was now possible to select the dishes. Appetizer: short-fried tuna, fish soup, smoked shrimp and 1/2 dozen fish balls Conclusion: The fish soup is absolutely recommended! Already at the first spoon you realize that this is self-made and was linked with a thought of a Mediterranean fish soup. A light and pleasant sharpness, which is in the tomatized base, impresses view unobtrusively on the palate. The fish was probably only fried shortly before it was served with the liquid of the soup. He was in all pieces and not disintegrated. Oh, I could order another portion when writing. Come to the shrimps: We also know smoked shrimp from the Aalkate Fehmarn. But these are especially, somehow differently prepared and the taste of the smoke is gently placed on the shrimp. Here (so we know now) without shell is smoked and the shrimp can rest in a gentle process in the smoke. The kind of orientation was also special. In a glass full of smoke, the shrimps come to the table. When the lid is raised, a pleasant smoke of beech is distributed at the table. Already here we knew we'd have a great evening. Fish Balls: First of all we thought of a kind of fish fresco in a small round shape, but also here we were taught a better one on the palate. Small vegetables, potatoes and fish combine to a really great mass. These then shaped into small balls give a really tasty appetizer, which will certainly also be accepted as a small snack in a glass of wine very well. The tuna was rolled in sesame and briefly fried from all sides. It was on the PUNKT and for tuna lovers (we had two at the table) a highlight. We now looked forward to the main court: Marinierten Matjes, Rumpsteak, Hähnchenschnitzel Wiener Art and the fish plate for 2 persons. The Matjes: What should I say, my expectation was this typical island Baltic Sea Matjes, which is well known in many locations. This one was different at the first bite. Mild, bissfest, a light note of acidity, sweetness and dill. It is bathed in an in-house brew and is likely to get its special taste nuances. I even had to reorder a fillet because my table accompaniment almost all tried it. But this has also been done quickly and with much attention and hospitality. The Rumpsteak: The steak was fried medium and for meat lovers also of the desired quality (i.e. färse). Here the difference is clear. The Wiener Schnitzel was exciting for us. After we heard some quiet knocking noises from the nearby kitchen, we also knew here, it is freshly prepared. I have to admit at this point that it was our second of this kind. We once learned to appreciate it in Hamburg (Restaurant HENRIKS). A great alternative to the classic KALB . Also here the beach smiles could convince kitchen. The fish plate had a variety of fish that were all in an in-house (although different) panade. It was perfect. Outside crispy and inside glazed as it should be. Total: A really good selection of wines that are partly untypical for gastronomy in a holiday region. The dishes are freshly prepared and prepared with sophistication. At a campsite you do not expect this quality, but perhaps my prejudices are also wrong and explain why this new restaurant has opened in a 5 star place. However, I can already imagine that there will be a lot of locals here. In comparison to other houses, a lot is noticeable here and can certainly also lead to NEID in one or the other. But envy is known to be the highest form of recognition and therefore the beach smile team does not need to worry about quality. The service in this house is extremely friendly, not placed, but really radiating from the inside positively. Here, the employee seems to understand the service as a vocation and that the guest feels immediately. The beach smile is not a copy of a restaurant, here you will find a unique and convincing manuscript. An idea or better it seems to be a vision that, in my opinion, will work exactly that way. Thank you also for the open answer to our many questions on preparation. Those who have to go up with such questions, however, have also taken up them as of course. We wish the beach smiles, we wish EUCH a sunny future, many great guests, continue this tangible motivation and above all this tangible sensational operating climate. What immediately noticed, a great thunder fills the whole room. At least 10 people were always on the go with anything. We got a table, because we didn't want to eat outside. I hate to eat outdoors. It's a camping restaurant. In the truest sense of the word. In the tone, in the audience, in the interior, in the food. Clean, simple, dark wood. This should not be a depreciation, perhaps on the contrary. And since I was a camper for decades, I was right. You should just know. Around 60% of the food goes out as an order. Accordingly, the number of people picked up food. Some order there, most of them do it by phone. Duration usually 10-15 minutes. A great time considering that there were also about 60 table guests. Lucie chose the more convenient way to the toilets inside the tavern. We met both at the table. I noticed when she came that something was wrong. She didn't want the Ouzo offered from the house anymore. We paid and then out. The total price of €56.60 was very pleasant and quite justified. In the car she told me the toilets weren't what they call clean. From the constructions, but otherwise...... somehow, her NUN hadn't tasted the food anymore. It is generally known that there are columns among people, only then one has to clean more often. Personally, I guess without seeing that the host didn't know. "Our last night at Opi Hartwig on Fehmarn. It's time. This time “Dat ole Aalhus” was on my wish list in Landkirchen. Whenever we go to Opi Hartwig on the island, we'll come over here. Dat ole Aalhus Directly opposite the church in the immediate vicinity of “Petersens Landgasthof” (see review of me lies this venerable house. In 1986, Marieluise and Carl Becker opened the “Dat ole AALHUS” restaurant. They created the original nice restaurant in loving small work from a very old, decaying reet roof shrine. At the beginning they served delicious smoked fish, Schmalzbrot and a Buddel Köm on rustic tables. The cosy ambience remained, the offer changed and expanded. Since then, “Dat ole AALHUS” is a popular starting point for locals and guests of the island of Fehmarn, without prior reservation it is difficult to get a place in the evening. The original restaurant has been set up by the daughter Kathrin Rilke in 2 since 1997. Generation operated and offers the guest a generous menu. I had already reserved a table for us 5 males in advance, and on time we were in Landkirchen. The mobile subset is either right opposite the inn, or directly next to Petersen ́s, where the Aalhus has another parking space. After entering the almost full restaurant, we were welcomed by one of the many female service staff and led to our table. Our table was located right next to the vault in a developed niche. There were no chairs here, but a softly padded bench was built around the table. One or the other regular table or skat evening will surely take place here, which you sit in the middle of the guest room, but is shielded from the others. However, the ventilation in this corner also seemed shielded, because during summer heat outside the air stood in the niche, while in the rest of the restaurant a small ventilator wore through the open doors. The rest of the restaurant is rustically furnished, on large wooden benches with seating, you sit very well. After 5 minutes we had this, and so we ordered: · 2x 0.5ér angel cellar beer dark from the barrel for 5,60 € · 1x house cocktail for 7,00 € · 1x Lillet Wildberry strawberry cocktail for 7,50 € · 1x 0.5ér Cola for 5,50 € The drinks now took about a quarter hour. For the two “young” gentlemen with the appetizer, this was not the problem, but the girls were sitting in the restaurant for 1.5 hours until finally our appetizer came. Say and write 1 hour and 15 minutes after the order. This is clearly too long, especially since other tables got their food significantly more. My wife had picked up the FEHMARNSCHE FISCHPFANNE. In a cast iron pan, a roasted cod fillet in egg shell, Baltic salmon fillet and sollen fillet were served here. All three fillets were well fried and soft, but unfortunately much too salty. There was something too much in love here. The scampi, which she generously left me and Opi Hartwig (iiih this does not taste, were firm in the bite and well roasted.
