"Now, let me clarify that the food here is quite different from what you get at the Indian Tiffin Room. This is traditional Bangladeshi cuisine, and they do it exceptionally well. We started with the Madhu Malai chicken as a starter, along with some onion bhajis. The chicken was tender and flavorful thanks to the yogurt, and there were plenty of bhajis—delicious and plentiful!
For our main courses, we opted for the mixed grill, which was enormous, as well as the lamb stir-fry and the podina chicken, accompanied by a couple of portions of rice. The amount of food we received was quite excessive, and we ended up leaving a lot behind because we were completely stuffed. The dishes were beautifully prepared, and the service was always friendly.
During our meal, we chatted with the owner, who mentioned that he also owns the Spice Tower in Marple, and that this is his new venture. Although you can't buy alcohol at Humaira's Tiffin, there’s no corkage fee if you bring your own. Our total bill came to £40, minus 20% because it was Sunday. They even packed up our leftovers without any fuss, ready for lunch the next day.
I can’t wait to return! In fact, they deliver to my parents’ house, so I anticipate spending quite a few weekends there in the near future!"
