"A Johnnycake is a cornmeal cake with a coarser texture and a distinct corn flavor, quite different from a typical buttermilk pancake. I decided to try a short stack along with a side of corned beef hash and an egg. I enjoyed my meal with a bit of syrup, and the portion was just right for me. The corned beef hash was also quite tasty. On this early Sunday morning, the city was buzzing with activity as preparations were underway for Springfest, an outdoor event happening along Main Street this weekend. I truly enjoyed my visit to Nyack and Johnny Cakes Café, and I highly recommend both."
