"Very beautiful Orthodox monastery located above Obernhof and the Lahn with beautiful views This former Catholic monastery is now run by Orthodox nuns, while in the pilgrimage church Catholic worship services are still celebrated. In the small convent café right next to the convent shop you can buy all sorts of self-made delicacies, such as convent honey, jams, Chutneys....... and religious things such as crosses, icons, books, CDs....... After visiting the pilgrimage church and visiting the monastery shop in the small cafe square, we took care of the many impressions. The selection at the cafe is not very large, as we did not see any prices, we asked what we were told that there were no fixed prices, but only to be asked for a donation, each of which is so much worth it. We then did this generously, after all, it will benefit a good purpose. Everywhere in the rooms you can feel the spiritual aura and the soothing silence, on the walls religious images and photos of the Mother's Monastery in Greece. By the way, the monastery also takes guests for contemplation days or secular outtime against assistance in the work and participation in the worship services.
