"I hope this message finds you well. Following our recent conversation, I am writing to provide my mailing address to receive a replacement gift certificate for any restaurant except Charcuterie. I was surprised to discover that your establishment is not listed with the Better Business Bureau. This is not unexpected, considering I plan to file a complaint regarding the lack of response from your business. Additionally, I have already spoken with an officer at the Sierra Madre Police Department and will be filing a formal report. To summarize the situation, while I am prepared to handle this matter on my own, my wife is understandably upset. She felt humiliated by your son on the patio in front of other patrons. His actions caused her emotional distress while she was taking care of your 20-month-old son. Instead of addressing me directly, he just muttered that you wouldn’t want to hear my concerns, creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere. Moreover, he approached my table and removed the comment card, telling me that I was no longer welcome, implying that you didn’t need customers like me. When I stepped outside to make a phone call on the patio—an act of courtesy—he ordered his staff to clear my table, even discarding my meal in full view of our belongings, including our stroller and bags. My wife is now insisting on pursuing legal action against both your restaurant and your son individually. While I won’t elaborate on the other service issues we faced, they are minor compared to this incident. Your son’s behavior was deeply troubling. It is irresponsible and indicative of an unstable mindset to react so harshly when a customer expressed a concern about the delay in service, especially with a toddler in tow. Additionally, I was informed that he was mimicking me to his kitchen staff while my wife was in the restroom, raising further concerns about his character. His vindictiveness not only reflects poorly on him personally but also tarnishes the reputation of your establishment. It is completely unacceptable to call the police under false pretenses, especially summoning multiple units under the belief that a serious incident had occurred. This incident has implications for my role with Project Cuddle and may have consequences with Disney once my wife reports it. I feel a responsibility to inform others in the community about the potential risks of dining at your restaurant to prevent them from experiencing similar treatment. I would like to hear your thoughts on how you plan to address this issue. Please understand that merely offering a meal is insufficient compensation. It is unacceptable to evict a family with a toddler from your restaurant while disparaging them to others and then attempt to make amends with a free meal. Concerns regarding slander, emotional distress, negligence, and the filing of a false police report are very serious. I welcome any response you may have. Sincerely, SG"
