"Today the city tour of Ulm was on the program. Lunch should also take place in the city centre. German cuisine was ours. The windows are open daily from 10 am to 24 pm. There is a daily hot kitchen from 11.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 21.30. On leaving we then saw standing on a table below, warm kitchen from 11.30 – rest as in the map. Service 20 after 11 we entered the place and stood a little stupid until the two ratting ladies could get rid of each other and we could ask for a table for two people. One of the ladies then said – in the back of the room, they just take a non-reserved table. We heard them gag and cricket, but nobody came to us. Punk half, behold one of the ladies came to our table and meant to drink. I then asked if they also have a menu and she said to me – yes, why do they want to look first? We don't know what they're offering. The cards then came to the table quickly and we could take a look in until they came back to the table and – that's what it meant. The drinks came quickly, shortly after two plates and the plate did not wait long. She put her to the table wished us a good appetite and brought two sauces to the table with the words – please nice . Now we sat alone and left at the table, no one took us anymore, even the empty plates stayed at our table for a time until one of the ladies came, asked – took a part and we were lonely and left again. After another waiting period, the other lady picked up the rest wordless, the empty glasses did not interest them. At the record it was said that there were two schnapps we were waiting for in vain. I could catch her and order the bill. This one came to the table after some time and the lady took off. I was so free and asked if the schnapps were forgotten. She then said – no, we always ask guests because some like no liquor and can also have a coffee for it. Ha ha ha ha, after having been paid, they ask, we are more likely to come if nobody says what, we save ourselves. The question should be resolved. The snaps then came to the table without words and there was no adoption, well we were not welcomed. There is only one alcohol-free beer and this in 0.33 l form So this time we had a special and an apple choir, both in 0.4 l form for €2.80. For dinner we chose the “house plate” for 2 pers. Steak, Schnitzel, Filet, Cevapcici) with late zle, Djuwet screaming vegetables, pommes and house snacks for 35. € So we start up – There were two nicely crossed scavengers, slightly wavy, perfectly fried and discreetly spiced and not greasy. It was very nice creamy, refined with fresh spring onions, neat garlic note and super tasted. In addition, a whole bunch of fresh onion rings were located in the middle of Ajavar. This we suspect, came from the glass on the plate. Two cattle steaks were on it, these were fried pink, very tender and also well seasoned. There was also a piece of stuffed meat. We were going to say a piece from the pork end, this was folded together and filled with cheese, even here there was nothing big to complain about and it was also juicy, a pity just a piece. Luckily noticed and shared with Spotzl. There were two slices of herbal butter on the three slices of meat. We think ourselves made, she tasted much for butter and little for herbs, also we lacked salt with inside. Then there were 4 Cevapcici. Opposite the tables were put together for a larger group, there was a separation that was equipped with plants and there were four tables behind it. The seating consists of darker wood and on the chairs lay loose orange seat cushions on it. On the table there is a white fabric runner on it standing salt and pepper shaker, a vase with fresh rose and a candlestick with white bar candle . The napkins are nicely folded, twice at the table in whole white and twice with red addition. In addition, the cutlery lies. The walls are painted in salmon with wiping technique and very bald. As the only picture in the room there was one of Einstein on the front. It's beautifully covered, but the room somehow looks very bald and empty. The interior is a bit too shiny and golden shiny for my taste, but I like the genre mix with an old Perserteppich and modern art. I can't discover a printed beverage card, just a QR code that leads to a digital card. New customs in coronary times or a general trend I have slept? Or do you want to save yourself the pressure and production costs? We order blindly again 2x white wine choir (a 4.30 Euro). All in all, an interesting location with hip, youthful audience and very generous opening hours (weekly from 8:30 am!) and without a single rest day. Around there are small shops, the tram stop “Rathaus” is just a few steps away, the Münster also. I could imagine many guests coming here for a drink after a shopping tour."

At the larger tables there are wooden boxes with fired logo from the local and there are artificial flowers. We saw some pepper mills standing around. There are still some pictures on the walls. "Why the Hotel Löwen's HP doesn't reveal anything about the restaurant area is mischievous to me. I have only one explanation: The hotel is the flagship. The quite numerous meeting rooms and thus also overnight stays ensure and at the same time mean that these guests stay in the lion all day and take their meals here. This is possible in 8 individual rooms and again shows the size of the location. A reservation for the lunch table makes sense. It was booked to the last place this afternoon. The predominant number of guests are attendees, with a few locals and a men's table working in the vicinity and there daily their business lunch in 2 courses to approx. 11 euros. In the rustic ambience there are fabric napkins that are not matching to light yellow fabric table cloths. Part of the guests only gets paper-served, the colour mix goes on with brown floor tiles and red seat cushions. For this, the female service forces are all dressed in uniform black blouses and brown aprons. The menu offers regional and international dishes. So the guest can enjoy soups that range from the power broth with herbal flakes to the carrot ginger foam soup with potato straw. For example, Carpaccio from the beef fillet (approx. 11 euros) or fried shrimps on colorful leaf salads are available on homemade yogurt-limette dressing (approx. 11 euros). Fish dishes such as eglifilet, zanderfilet, lactose or a selection of different fish with a fish plate (approximately 22 euros). In addition, dishes from pork, veal, Swabian specialties such as onion roasts, variation from the Swabia, classic specialties such as Cordon Bleu or a Viennese carving from the calf (about 17 euros). With such an extensive map, it is regrettable that there are only four vegetarian, and also quite a simple one (tagliatelle with fresh ruccola, grapes and cashew seeds (about 11 euros), Mediterranean vegetables with rosemary spaghetti (about 11 euros), spaghetti with tomatoes. The seasonal calendar awaits with fish, asparagus, or peach dishes. The offer from Business Lunch to approx. 11 euro does not appeal to me. Liver cheese was on offer on a day. I can get this much cheaper with every butcher. We take a supplement salad (3.50 euros), beef fillet Stroganoff (about 17 euros) and shrimp with asparagus (19 euros). The supplemental salad was not worth his money, as it was very little. Our main dishes were tastefully successful and the portions sufficient to be pleasantly filled. Larger exemplate of shrimps of moderate quality throned on my vegetables, which consisted mainly of Pak Choi. If asparagus is already mentioned, please ask more than two white pieces and four of green. There were band noodles that reminded me of too little sauce/liquid on my plate as a sauce fan. "Before I went to the Ulm Nightlife last week, I wanted to strengthen myself and, as my accompaniment had been in the Maritim Hotel, let me book a table there for the evening. The restaurant Panorama and the restaurant Bastei are located in 16. Floor (of course with elevator) of the hotel. I strongly asked my secretary for a window when booking, which would have been possible. Once there, it was found that this was not recorded at all and so we were allowed to take place in the middle of the restaurant with the option to change as soon as a window space becomes free. This was then possible after the appetizer. It is a pity that the dirty tablecloth of the guest was not replaced here. A beautiful view from above through the floor windows and here at night on the illuminated city of Ulm. 4 tables stand directly on the window, the remaining four are distributed in the middle. All covered with fabric table cloth and fabric napkins. It is conveniently located in the chairs covered with rose-colored fabric, the rose is repeated in the blue carpet. In addition, the (almost) open kitchen is and I felt it as very unpleasant and loud in the time when we sat in the middle, through the kitchen noises, crockery and dishes that fell on the floor. A waiter with Viennese dialect brings us the menus and as compensation for the veiled reservation two glasses champagne and a carafe white wine with 0.25 l. The menu on the internet is not updated and the 4 menu we requested could not be ordered without dessert and then at the menu price. They completely corresponded to my ideas concerning the subtle refinement with cream or cream fraiche and without covering the fine taste of the black root, no lumps and finely spices, as an insert of the crumbling goat fresh cheese, which I could have imagined as a more economical dose in it (or even better than ravioli). As the main course came for me the stone butt with Vadouvan, Avocado and Polandta (27 Euro): Curious and never heard of Vadouvan I got the explanation from the waiter: Vadouvan is an Asian vegetable. That I didn't have on the plate. It was then an exotic spice mix. A few pieces of stone butter of which half had very little pannade and the other half without, it can of course also be that it was so desired. I had to fit in one piece. It was too much for me and too dry at the border. In addition, very little sauce level and with the naturally also rather dry avocado and the still more dry polenta only get down with a lot of wine. The vegetables were a pampe of avocado and small pepper cubes. "The story of Ulmer Spatz knows every swab and it is closely connected to Ulmer Münster. In the windshade of the imposing church building, in the heart of Ulms, surrounded by large deciduous trees, lies the hotel restaurant of the same name. The best way to get to the local is to walk over the far-reaching pedestrian zone. Parking I didn't see, but surely you can find parking garages here in downtown. The Ulmer Central Station is about 500 meters away. There seems to be time in this place. Since 1956 the traditional house has been run as a family business and has never renewed its interior and interior design since then. Why? The customer seeks and appreciates precisely this light dustiness, this rare retro charm and this home-lasting cosiness. You can hardly see enough, at the wrought iron gratings, the carved chair rests (here the often quoted spatz motif finds itself again, the blue-white mobs, the old city views and strengthened tablecloths. Even the ceiling is decorated with popular frescoes that are oriented towards the local history. Above my place, for example, the story of the “Flieger” Albrecht Ludwig Berblinger was told. In the large guest room there are more than 50 people, in the equally cozy next room about half as many. From my seat on the window I see when I look to the left, parts of the Münster – and when I look to the right, deep into the large, transparent, bright kitchen. And yes, it's all about right things... Around 13:30 we asked carefully whether we can still eat lunch, because there were no more guests in the restaurant. We were welcomed immediately and immediately led to the table. A friendly, polite young man (the junior boss) led the service, did some administrative tasks next to it, but was always quick to place and very attentive. The menu lists Expected Allzu Expected: Onion roasts, Swiss sausage salad, Rumpsteaks – besides Swabian classics, changing lunch table dishes, various salads, vasper variations and desserts such as apple cubes with vanilla ice cream. We chose two vegetarian dishes: 1x Swabian cheese parrots with spicy mountain cheese and crispy roast onions, which were barely exceeded the magic 10-Euro mark and served with a side salad (leaf salad, tomato, egg, plus unnecessary some corn grains. I thought I remembered that there was also a supplemental salad on the map. But the cams were served on a colourful and tastefully pleasing bed by wide, garden paprika strips. A great, saturating combination that you could also cook at home... The dishes used were modern and original; so the beetles were served in an asymmetric bowl. The toilet facilities are underground – in a double sense of word. Since I was bad at foot, I took the old-weak elevator to the basement. The main doors to the women's and men's toilets only had swing doors – which is perhaps so desired. So you don't have to press clinks and too hypersensible guests can get access with easy shoulder pressure and have thus banished any danger of infection. A young man – he was probably sent by her – told us that the computer had crashed and now you have to restart the drinks, what we had ordered? Only after that we finally got our drinks. We weren't different with the food. We had ordered the daily dish, the Allgäu Cordon Bleu- stuffed with Obazder and Pommes (8,90€ and the beer roasts with lumps and herb (14,90€). Everything was very long to wait. So we had enough time to observe the neighboring tables. Five confessed boys had ordered at the same time. Three got their dish, the soup order lasted for so long until the three had eaten and the fifth got his daily dish only for new demand when everyone wanted to go. No excuse from the house. Then our food came, unexpectedly at the same time. The female service power stopped a light blue elongate frying pan without the warning “Preview hot”. It wasn't necessary either. The beer roast was tough and cold and sponge in a lukewarm sauce. The dumplings were again cold and firm, and the herb was unfit. It tasted everything like yesterday. I tried everything and then pushed the picture of the horror away from my field of view. The Cordon Bleu looked on the plate like a fish dish with thick panade. The kitchen had prepared for this day dish so that it could even be served warm. When cleaning up we were not asked by the male service power whether it tasted, although the enamel pan was almost untouched. We asked for a responsible person and the female service came to our table. Instead of apologising, she pushed everything on her male colleagues, who made a lot of mistakes as a helping force and had to go again next week. The colleague was not the problem but you. We had TimeJ again when paying with card. A neighboring table was reoccupied and behold, the help force had everything under control. Beverages, food and even time. Everything went smoothly and to the satisfaction of the guests. When paying with a card, the viable service power was called again and it stopped just as she did the amount – in expectation to tip.
