"Vilshofen is located on the Danube. And exactly there we found a parking space for our camper. On foot it is not far to the city centre. Ambiente The inn has come a bit into the years. It has the charm from earlier times. But older regular visitors love it. The premises are divided by a door and a glass front, into the countertop area with regular table and the area for guests. We're looking for the counter area and getting a table in the corner. Here we had a good overview. The floor is red-brown tile. The walls are arched and decorated with spells and old pictures from earlier times. The heavy wooden chairs are somewhat uncomfortable, but so it was annodazumal in the inns. On the tables are red-carded placemats and glass tealights provide coziness. Service Outside on a slate board, we had already read surprises: “Warm kitchen only until 17:00”. It was 10 before 5 and we were excited. The service was very friendly and asked in the kitchen what dishes could still be offered. There were curry sausages with pommes and a cold roast meat plate. Eat Us remained the agony of choice this day saved. The frying plate (8,90€ was the Knüller. Served on a decorative wood palette and nicely cooked. Rich and lush with bread and tastefully perfect. Also the curry sausage with Pommes (6,50€ was not to be despised. The sausage took half the plate and the curry sauce was very well tasted. It's hard to make the pommes. Conclusion: Let's surprise you. Price-quality offer excellent."

"On the return journey from a trip my son asked one of his favorite dishes, Döner. Now we live in the countryside and not in the city where, if you were to throw a brick, you would probably meet a diner shop... (free to Douglas Adams). I knew about my service walks from a dönerimbiss in Vilshofen, which I haven't visited yet. Also that you can park directly opposite (with some luck, but it was Saturday). The Vils-Döner is located a bit away from the city square on the road from the Danube towards Schweickelberg and thus also a bit away from the large pedestrian streams in a residential and commercial building. One step leads to the house, in the store itself is a height offset of 4-5 steps, which is due on the one hand to the rise of the road in front of the house and (probably) that here two houses were probably combined into one. So we entered the Döner shop and inside it looked like in almost all these shops (with very little exceptions that were really planned with a design concept). In one room half a large counter, behind Dönergrill and Pizzaofen, in the right part a few small tables. A few fans, the wall with photo wallpaper in stone look (although with wrong connection taps). For this purpose, the beverage refrigerator for the self-dispensation of beverages. 1000 times. But no matter what, you don't go to a store like this (at least not us Western Europeans), either not to the candlelight dinner or to a first date (where... you could let it happen... a date that DAVON doesn't let itself be quenched can only be successful) The offer also consists of the usual döner, pide, pizza, some salad etc... The prices are quite favorable for this, a diner is already available for 3,50 (students even only 3,00) plus drink to 1,50 have been eaten and drunk for 5,00, you can really not mecker (and now also do not expect the world). There is not much to say about the Döner, he has tasted as well as almost everywhere. There were also no special features that all made a fresh impression, clean it was too. Ultimately, it would be 3 stars, but due to the favorable prices, I'll put half a star on it. FAZIT: if it turns out, it's quite likely that I could get a diner back here."
