On a Sunday night, a party of 10 made a reservation for 6PM at this restaurant. While appreciating the lack of rush, the service was extremely slow, leading to a 3-hour dining experience. The food was decent, but there were discrepancies between the menu descriptions and the actual dishes served. The oyster sampler, ordered as double orders, was found by all four diners to be poorly cleaned and shucked, with macerated oysters and shell bits present. The slow-braised octopus was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Cool modern looking interior, trying to envelop the Asbury park vibe. While the menu looked very interesting we opted for oysters and appys having to eat so early to take advantage of the oyster happy hour. We had the east coast sampler. Probably should have tried another one and not this. The oysters were so tiny. So glad we didn't pay full price for these. Beef bites were borderline dry. As gourmet chefs who enjoy hosting guests, this restaurant is one of our top choices in New Jersey. We were grateful to discover that it is conveniently located just two blocks from our son's home. We arrived at 5:00 to take advantage of the happy hour special, which included half-priced oysters for our son. I heard they were fantastic. I also tried some delicious poached shrimp. The crab wontons were exceptional, and the entrees - tuna, branzini, and mussels - were all top-notch. We finished off our meal with some incredible gelato. The service was fast and friendly, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The owner even came by to ensure we were happy with our meal.

Writing as I sit here waiting over an hour for our appetizers. Waited 20 minutes to even get water once we were seated. The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. It's worth going for the half-price raw bar happy hour, if you can. You can also bring your own beverages. The restaurant may be small and get a bit noisy during dinner, but it is still worth a visit.

I am lowering my rating to 1 star after my wife and her friends were charged $50 for bringing their own birthday cake to the restaurant. Despite calling ahead to ask for permission to bring the cake, they were never informed of any associated fees.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. From appetizers to entrees to service, everything was top-notch. I absolutely love this place!!! I would give the food a 5-star rating, as well as the service and atmosphere.

excellent service and eating. on Friday night full. the only criticism is that the dining room is quite live/loud. we had the big round table in the middle of the room and it was difficult to hear about the table. Réservez une table maintenant

I only tried the oyster sampler, but it was a perfect 10 out of 10. It was a bit expensive, but the delicious food was worth it. The restaurant seemed a bit pretentious compared to the surrounding area.
