1423 China Kitchen

Located inside a little house in the heart of Windsor, the atmosphere was cozy and reminiscent of a traditional Chinese country inn (that comes straight out of a Wushu' movie set Distinguishing itself from traditional British Chinese fare, its Sichuan style cooking places...an emphasis on fresh ingredients, a red hot wok, and bold flavours. I very much enjoyed the very authentic broccoli in a dry wok, and the fried chicken with chilli. We also found the stir fried pak choi with mushrooms, as well as the sweet and sour vegan chicken as good vegetarian options.

We were four of us here for a birthday meal and it was a truly memorable experience with a superb menu and lots of vegan choice (two of our party were vegan), excellent service and lovely location down a little cobbled street so close to...the castle. Would definitely come again.

Food and service were great. Don't visit the chain restaurants, visit here instead! Great veggie/vegan menu as well if you need it. There are tables to sit outside if the weather is warm enough on a cute little cobbled street. Hidden gem, a must visit...if you like Chinese food.

Order a delivery from here. The menu on Uber was extensive with dedicated vegan menu. The food was really good. Only complaint was that the Uber dining menu does not contain spring rolls, although it was on the printed menu (which came with the delivery).

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Winsor, close to castle and we are Really enjoyed meal and tea, lovely staffs and restaurant and will definitely come back

Ordered a few times. The fake meats are very good, great to have veganized versions of authentic Chinese foods. My only nigger is really expensive.

Loved it!! Service was great and loved the food. All empty plates around the family. Nice atmosphere with very authentic food. Makes me happy

Yet again we were treated to fabulous food and super warm service from the excellent gentleman at 1423. I was treated like a Princess!!!
