I 'm a huge fan of 18th Street beers and had super high hopes upon my first visit to the HQ. Unfortunately, our entire group was just confused with the actions of the staff throughout the visit. We started on the distillery side and ordered a couple of drinks. One of our group asked if she could take the drink to the other side (no signage or previous info to go off of, just posing a question). She was told absolutely not in an extremely rude manner by the waiter who then walked away. Once we were done, we then ventured over to the brewery/food side and made the mistake of walking 25 feet through the open building to get there. This place is a bit confusing since there are separate entrances for the 18th Street Distillery vs the Brewery, but I am only seeing the Brewery on Yelp. I had seen some of their cocktails on social media, so I was excited to give them a try. I met a couple people there, and we all managed to go to the Brewery side initially, so I was confused looking over the menu and not seeing the cocktails I'd expected to see. I asked the server, and she explained that we had to go outside and enter in the other door. When it comes to veggie burgers, fries, and exceptional customer service, there's one place that stands head and shoulders above the rest my favorite spot. Their veggie burger is a culinary masterpiece, with a patty that's perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The accompanying fries are golden and crispy, just the way I like them. But what truly sets this place apart is the unparalleled customer service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. From the warm welcome to the attentive service, you'll feel like a cherished guest throughout your visit. It's no wonder this spot is my hands down favorite.
I stopped by for lunch at the bar and I was very happy with everything. The beers were good, but the sandwich was amazing. I had their fried pork sando, and the pork cutlet on this was huge and wonderfully crispy. The brioche bun almost feels just like a handle for the meat, but the pickles and sauce complemented the fried pork nicely. I ordered quite a bit, but I was very happy with it all. Always like this place although the tap selection was lacking a bit. Love the patio area and the container bar, excellent use of space especially with the smell of the smokers behind it. Poutine was filling, I would of liked more gravy. 11-14-22 update, had a Hunter, a Reaper and a Tiger Lilly tonight. All three were good. Had my heart set on a heavy stout but the closest they had was the Hunter. The Tiger Lilly was very good I might add.
This place is awesome. Food was really good and staff was very accommodating to our big group. I can't comment on the beer but others in our group liked it. Special shout out to Hugo who was one of the best servers ever! It's incredibly rare to get service this good.He was super friendly and made the experience great and memorable. Cant recommend 18th Street enough!
Love love love this brewery! The beers here are great! I tried four different beers while I was there and all four were good! The food is great! I had the ghost pepper burger and loved it. The atmosphere at this place is great! And finally the service at this place was great! I totally recommend this place if you are looking for good beer and food!
