The crab cakes themselves were fantastic! My sister had the shrimp and grits, but it wasn’t the traditional dish—it came as a fried cheese grit cake! I took a bite, and wow, that grit cake deserves to be offered as an appetizer because I would definitely order it! We were visiting South Hill and asked at our hotel where we should go for good food and this place was highly recommended. As it turns out this restaurant is on the bottom floor of a converted elementary school. They are located in the old cafeteria. Looking at the pictures you can tell that they did not take away most of the original structure. They have it decorated with school type items, not sure if they were from the original school.
