Having researched many restaurants and finally deciding on this one for my joint birthday dinner with my wife, I left somewhat dissapointed.Although the food was overall well presented and most of our party (6 in all) enjoyed the taste.My biggest problem was the service, it took 40 minutes to have someone take our intial drink order, we had two guests arrive late and they were hurried to place their entree order..... the rest of the night was ok until they took another 30 minutes to clear the table.... i mean seriouslly, who wants to sit there with empty plates covering the table while trying to talk. we were hastily shown the desert menu and then were not offered any more drinks to finish.....
Their new winter menu is absolutely yum!! We had the mussels and veal for entree. The mussels came with the most delicious sauce, great for mopping up with the rustic bread that came with it. The polenta in the veal dish was so creamy and melt in the mouth, I wish they would give more than one piece. And the thyme burnt butter just binds the whole dish perfectly together. For mains we had the chicken breast, beans with green curry sauce and rice. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly. This tiny restaurant is ideally situated on the ground floor of the hotel, directly opposite the Riverside Theatre, so great for pre- or post-show dining. Unfortunately, it is completely exposed in the hotel's foyer, adjacent to the very busy, very noisy bar. This meant a complete lack of atmosphere as everything was quite open, and the impossibility of conversation.The meal was also hit and miss ...some nice items but also some very strange items. For instance, I had what was meant to be grilled haloumi, but was a moulten mess. And the beetroot risotto was likewise stodgy and had an odd taste. weird restaurant almost in a foyer , the menu on the outside pavement was their summer one so was not indicative of what was on offer the manager almost called us liars when we pointed it out and didn't seem to know where the outside menu was ,we noted they changed it before we left. the food was of a low standard the worst garlic bread I have had Turkish bread toasted one side only so soggy and not much hint of garlic .thai curry was sad and dry , I had salmon with a sauce that was utterly tasteless and I had no idea what it was supposed to be . very sad food

We had a family function here in a private room and we were delighted with the evening. The staff were exceptional, especially Adam, Faith and Latoya. David discussed everything with us in advance and nothing we wanted seemed too much trouble . We had access to the room prior to the function and found it beautifully prepared including a children's corner. The menu was varied , the food of good quality and the service was excellent. Some of our family stayed in the hotel as well and they were delighted with their rooms and breakfast. Highly recommended.
A good value hotel in Parramatta. Well located with many restaurants nearby so no need to pay too much for hotel food.... Stay here often. It's never fabulous but it's never awful either. It gives what you expect, a good night sleep, comfortable surrounding and handy to everything you need.
A warm welcome, prompt and polite service, and delicious meals. Next to the formal restaurant is a foyer coffee shop perfect for meals on the run. My favorite North Parramatta restaurant.
I love the food and the service is great,i much prefer to go for lunch rather than dinner i sometimes find the dancing entertainment a little bawdy.Otherwise i really enjoy this venue.

The location of this hotel is great as im big on my dining and was very close to a variety of restaurants and cafes. Staff here were nice and the overall stay was pleasant
