Big thing is this joint has no liquor. For me, a pub in the US without Irish whiskey is just not the same. Barkeep tried twice to make half and half. After I watched her throw one away, I said just give me the second one. Had fish and chips and regular burger with cheese and onion rings side. Fish was decent, fresh and hot, but possibly over cooked. A little greasy. Chips were hot and fresh and delicious. Everything needed salt. Burger was well done. We asked for mid rare. it tasted ok though. Onion rings were awful. Greasy and they all had batter busted open, and the onion that was barely inside anymore, was burnt to a crisp. Like paper. Right next to our hotel so convenient as can be. Dinner our first night here was good. Enjoyed their fish chips my husband enjoyed his meal but I'll be damned it I remember what it was LOL. Came back the next morning for breakfast cuz again it was convenient, and enjoyed breakfast even more! Sorry I didn't take photos but the salmon omelet was great, French toast was good and mom loved the bacon lol. I highly recommend a visit here. Clean, great service, good food, not to noisy but when it's full might be a little loud but not to bad really

The food was really great here! I went twice while visiting the area, cute (and clean) place, the fries and sandwiches are great, the Mac and cheese was great, everyone working was incredibly friendly, the beer is great. Wasn?t too crowded either timeI went, although it of course picks up a bit once happy hour starts. The california chicken sandwich was probably my favorite,and again their fries were amazing.

2nd time to San Francisco, I found this place because I didn't want to finish walking up hill to the other burger joint. And wow. Glad I did. Str8 outta Houston Texas! So my taste buds didn't like all the other places here in san F. But the burger Sutter Pub burger was gr8 even the fries, came back for dinner, was also good, then breakfast was again gr8. Cozy English pub with okay food. Atmosphere partially ruined by an annoying high pitched whining from some overhead machinery that was distracting. Tried the Guinness Chili Burger which was an (expectedly) sloppy mess but not super flavor. The patty was okay. Not much in the way of toppings. Fries were good.

I was strolling around on a rainy day in late December. I was wet, a little chilly, and in the mood for a light snack and a glass of wine. I would recommend this cozy pub if you're in search of a laid-back spot that could make a European feel at home.

Really enjoyed my visit to this relaxed, friendly bar. (Some of the most comfy bar stools I’ve ever encountered! Solid beer selection. Took away a cheesecake, which was also very good and well presented.

The pub is charming and cozy. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced during both of my visits, but their efforts were apparent.
