We surely were late to the show although every time 8 East was mentioned or displayed on social media I was already hungry and ready to go.My husband's birthday in mid October this year was the perfect occasion. 8 East is a favorite spot of ours for day dates, incredible food, and top-notch service! It is tucked away in the back corner of the upper casino floor at the exclusive adults only Circa Hotel and Casino. While it's not the largest of restaurants, there are still plenty of tables and lots of room at the bar. There are even a couple of secluded dining areas for a bit of privacy. Love it here! Suitable for vegetarians, even though at first glance the menu appears to be meat centric. Ask for the allergen menu and you can get lots of options for vegetarian/pescatarian.Everything is made to order, very well seasoned, and tastes so fresh. We got the Fried Rice with Vegetables, Bok Choy side, Sizzling Noodles with Tofu, and Mushroom Bao. One of our friends was a little worried about this place because it 's Asian fusion, but speaking as a group of Asians of different nationalities this place was really good and we would definitely come back. Our server Jerry F ? From the receipt but not sure if that 's his name) was hilarious. We ordered pork belly bao, ginger chicken potstickers, lamb lollipops, brisket fried rice, ramen, and sizzling noodle. Everything was great. Hit this place on a Saturday night around 10PM without a reservation. We were seated pretty within 15 minutes and had a wonderful meal. Wife's favorite was the pork belly while I really enjoyed the Thai Waterfall shrimp. We also tried the Brisket Fried Rice (Vital Vegas style) as well as short rib dumplings, which were okay since we aren't big on horseradish. With all that said, we will definitely come back when we are downtown. Food was outstanding and a pretty good value for the portion size/Vegas factor.
We were roaming Fremont Street and needed a place for dinner. We asked one of the bars outside and they recommended 8 East. It was a little effort to find it inside a big casino complex but we did and were glad. The servers were very friendly, it didn’t take long to get seated, and the food was excellent. If you like Asian cuisine, don’t pass it by. The prices are really good too.
8 East is a cute little restaurant with cute Asian fusion tapas/ izakaya feel to it. I'd suggest getting lots of the little plates along with an entree to split amongst the whole table so you can really try everything. I got the rosemary smash cocktail, it was okay, nothing crazy. Make sure to make reservations if you're going around dinner time to avoid the wait.
