This is one of the finest examples of what the industry is calling a GUNTRY CLUB, a country club for the firearms enthusiast. Our family has enjoyed 88 Tactical for day one. Martial arts classes. Unarmed self-defense. Training classes for firearms; ranges; classes for rifles, pistols, medical trauma care; outdoor survival and more. They have a fitness facility on site that is growing. The Founders' Club is a great restaurant and bar that has been expanded and even better than before. They are in the middle of an expansion and multi-location growth to other cities. Don't waste your time or MONEY! Was told the membership was a year by a disgruntled employee (who went on to quit 1 or 2 weeks later) when it is actually 18. Repeatedly asked to cancel my membership, which they denied. Then they charged past the 18 months anyhow. Had to take it up with my bank. Was told about all these awesome benefits and expansions, so we bought the highest tiered membership. None of those expansions every happened during our year. Only one, but then you needed to pay additional for the lounge, until recently. Oh, and every time you buy something, they save your credit card information in the computer, without your permission, then use it if they see fit.
Very bad vibes. I walked in looking for vortex sights and the guy told me he didn't have them but he had stuff that was way better as if what I was looking for was too cheap for them or something. I also wanted a bag and my wanted buddy. Wanted to buy some stuff too. They were really pushy pointing out that a membership would save money and they wouldn't sell anything without having an email address to set up a account. The environment wasn't very inviting at all for someone that wasn't a member. Sadly we won't be coming back to check out anything more and we were very interested in a lot of the tactical gear but the service was very unwelcoming
My understanding of this place is unrivaled selection of diverse training courses. There are so many levels of training they offer. This place is always about training and safety. There protocols are really strict. Instructors’ backgrounds in this center include military special operations forces, law enforcement. They know what they are doing and how to teach. A couple of years ago one of the ranges was converted to the airplane and some units were working on release of hostages tactics. This place is one of the best in the USA. I have been going to this range the last year as a non member and absolutely love it! It’s clean, organized, and very easy to navigate. The staff makes me feel welcome and is always willing to let me pick their brain. I appreciate the handguns available to feel and see in their new setup versus asking to open a case to hold for shopping. I live in TX and on contract for work and no range in DFW compares. Sure hope yall expand to the DFW area ;
Took the CHP class with Lynn; this class was superior to a previous CHP class taken at another location in town. His knowledge and instruction were great, and his sense of humor made an all day class FUN! I highly recommend this class to anyone who owns or carries a gun.
