Every year my family and I take a trip to the beaches around this area. We routinely would stop here to grab a bite to eat as it was our grandmothers favorite. This year has been rough as our grandmother recently past. We decided to take the trip here to commemorate that. It started bad, having to wait 20 minutes for a table despite there being at least 7 open seating arrangements in the line of sight (yes I counted). But once we were seated and began to order our server (who shall not be named) gave my cousin a very hard time. My younger cousin age 15, wished to order two kids pasta. The second pasta due to the fact the Red Sox won prior to our trip making the meal free. Anyways, he ordered...
We visited the 99 Restaurant in Salem, New Hampshire, and it was quite an experience! Our server, Erica, truly made the visit memorable! She was fantastic and went above and beyond, helping us navigate the menu. She suggested a wonderful, budget-friendly lunch that was just amazing! I ordered the fish and fries, and let me tell you—the fish was enormous, spilling out on both sides of the plate! Incredible! My husband had the chicken, which was delicious, flavorful, and spicy; he could only finish half of it, and he's a hearty eater! Overall, it was a great meal at a great price. And did I mention how fabulous our server Erica was? Absolutely outstanding!
I've visited many 99 Restaurants, but this one needs some improvements. It seems worn out. I ordered soup, which was ideal for the chilly, wet weather we were having. However, the crackers that came with it were already open, so I decided not to eat them. My dad's crackers were stale, too. The knife I received with my silverware was dirty, so I didn't use it. The soup could have been served hotter as well. I also tried the chicken sandwich, which had lettuce, tomato, and mayo, but the chicken was much smaller than the bun. Overall, I probably wouldn't return to this particular 99.
We sat at high tops in the bar area to play trivia since it was bar section only. They gave us the happy hour menu for bar only area which advertised half price apps and 59 cent wings. We got multiple orders of wings and several apps but they only gave us the happy hour deal for the wings. The Manager said we had to literally be sitting at the bar for the half priced apps. Seems silly to give us one without the other on the same menu. It was only a fraction of our bill but it?s more the principle of the matter. Réservez une table maintenant
A good place to have lunch with friends. I had the ? fish tacos with baked scrod, which tasted like chicken ?, while my friends had fish ? and chips and chicken parmesan. We had boneless chicken ? wings and potato ? wedges with cheese ? and bacon ? on top ?. All of the food tasted good. Service was friendly and the wait time for food was reasonable. WiFi and curbside pickup available. Plenty of parking ??. Large waiting area. I recommend this 99.
We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we visited for dinner twice and lunch once within two days. The seafood chowder was so delicious that we ordered it each time! I had the fish and chips on two occasions; the portions were generous, featuring flaky fish and tasty fries. The desserts were small, but just the perfect size. I would definitely return again and wish we had a location in Indiana!
