I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Acapella. It used to be a great place to dine, and it's right in my neighborhood! The food has always been outstanding. However, I can't speak to the current quality of the food as we didn't even get that far. The service was extremely poor. My partner and I came in on a quiet evening with only one other couple in the restaurant. The negative atmosphere was noticeable right away, but we decided to give it a chance. We had heard really great things about this place as we recently moved into the area, so wanted to try it out. We were sadly left quite disappointed... If this place wasn't BYO I think it'd probably be 1 star for me. The pizza was so average, the arancini was definitely just microwaved as it had no crunch to it whatsoever and £6.50 for a green salad with cucumber and tomato...? We also asked for some garlic oil which was £1 extra (I don't know why) and, I don't think I've ever said this in my life, but it was so unbelievably garlicky, I can still taste it the following day. This charming cafe offers a wide variety of food options. I have visited twice - once for a meal and coffee, and today I ordered some coffee and tea to go. On both occasions, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
