Had a fantastic evening in A Hidden Vine! What a beautiful lake location for a relaxed evening of wine and appetizers. This small wine bar/wine shop has a fabulous selection of high-end wines to choose and we found the prices too reasonable. We chose a bottle of Vineyard 29 Cru from the shelf (one of our favorites! and ordered the sweet Brie Flatbread and a charcuterie board. We brought our wine to the terrace and enjoyed the view of the lake. Everything was perfect and hospitality was incredible. We were supported with the menu at the order desk and when the dishes arrived at the table, there was an explanation for all items placed on the board. We ended the evening with an affogato that was fantastic. A hidden Vine is a bit a ride from North Orange County, but we'll be worth it, we'll be back whenever possible. #supportlocal #highlyrecommended
Okay, so here's how this place works:-you get a card when you come in, which you pre-load money onto. You can add as much to this card as you want. Then, you go around to the wine pour areas and use your card to pay for your wine as you go. You pour it yourself, and the prepaid card you have gets debited by the ounce of wine you pour. You can fill a glass with one wine, or go around sampling little sips of several wines, they all just charged by the ounce. They have a great selection of wines, and a very nice outside area to sit and drink the wine at while overlooking the lake. The owner is very nice and friendly, and accommodating to the guests.Pros: Great selection of wines, and amazing view of the lake from the outdoor patio.Cons: very expensive price (I got a total of 4 glasses of red wine and paid roughly $65)
Had a fun afternoon sampling wine today! This was our first time back post Pandy and so glad this spot survived! A Hidden Vine is a must! The place was pleasantly packed this afternoon but ample seating was available. Grab a card for the wine station and get sampling. What a fun way to get to sample several brands! They also have great food... think charcuterie, cheeses, so good! If you need a gift, their shop has an amazing selection and even a few fun accessories. The guys are incredibly helpful in finding a great bottle to take home! And did I say the patio overlooks the Lake! Love this place!
This is such a unique and fun spot to grab a glass of wine hang out with friends. I came with my mom for happy hour and had a blast filling up the card, getting the wine from the dispenser, etc. It feels like a fun activity to do and it's convenient to be able to try all sorts of wines before committing to a glass. The food is also great. We got the Brie flatbread and a charcuterie board. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and answered any questions we had. Overall we had a great time. I will definitely be taking visitors here in the future!
