We had a collection of small plates to try a range of foods. Octopus balls, gyoza dumplings, fried egg plant, salmon sushi, edamame beans, pickled seaweed and cucumber. We shared a Japanese donut for dessert. Having many small dishes, made this a pricey meal but worthwhile on special occasion. There are more affordable options when selecting a main meal. Service was great. They were happy to help us understand each dish. This was a meal full of wonderful flavours.

Was travelling through to Lake Entrance and consulted Trip Advisor to check out food options. So pleased that The Red Dot was so highly recommended and can heartily endorse as well. Food better than most pseudo ‘Japanese’ restaurants in Melbourne. Excellent authentic cuisine and service. Hopefully will be open on our return trip.

Hands down best Japanese in Traralgon, their karaage chicken is hands down our favourite and the takoyaki reminds me of one I had in Osaka!! Great value, friendly staff and great food every time we go.

Had an evening banquet meal with work colleagues and was suitably surprised with the energy of the waiting staff and the ambiance. The meal was also of a good quality and was also quite generous.
