In a city filled with the best food and coolest bars this is my favorite bar. I am hoping and praying it's able to reopen in the future. It's hard to say why it's the best place in Portland...if you're looking for something out of the ordinary, then this place is for you. True to it's name it's got sights to see, and is technically on the side of a road. Enjoy some drinks food, play a round of pool, hang out at the outside tables, squeeze onto the patio swing with a couple friends, choose your favorite track on the jukebox, cheers with some strangers, sit in thrones, sit in booths, sit at barstools, enjoy some clutch mood lighting, look at all of the wall art and trinkets, and repeat. p.s. As far as staff, character and charm this place absolutely deserves five stars. My reason for giving it four is because there is hardly any ventilation on the outside patio and the smoke was so thick it literally made me ill; and that it persists to be a cash only bar (which I understand in theory) however it would be nice to be able to use some kind of digital currency given the fact that we're about to experience another surge in Covid cases. All in all this is a solid spot totally worth going to and you should check it out
This restaurant has a unique and eclectic vibe that combines elements of a small neighborhood bar, a tiki bar, and a Chinese restaurant. It is one of the coolest spots in Portland with a vintage, lived-in atmosphere. There is a smoking room in the front and a piano in the back. They only accept cash, but there is an ATM with a low $1.50 service fee tucked away in a hidden corner.
