Perfect ambiance to celebrate good food with good friends. Owner operated bistro captures a rewarding familiarity with superb entree's and finished with tantalizing desserts. Appetizers included in the Savor Sarasota $40 price fix encompassed a beautiful variety of starters. The selection included your choice of Potage Due Jour (Carrot Bisque this evening), Tuna Tower Tartar, Traditional Caesar or the Escargot Gratine'. All beautifully prepared. The Entrees include Corsican Branzino which, due to the overwhelming patronage, ran out and substitute Corsican Barramundi was as welcome. What makes this restaurant truly special is the delightful blend of exquisite cuisine, warm hospitality, cozy surroundings in a romantic atmosphere, and a pleasant noise level that fosters enjoyable conversation. The owner, Luigi, goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest departs with a big smile and the lingering taste of exceptional food and wine. Luigi, along with Chef John and Gina, an outstanding server, played a key role in creating an unforgettable evening. This is definitely a place worth visiting.
The restaurant features a charming and cozy ambiance reminiscent of Europe. Every dish was expertly cooked and seasoned, and the sauces were truly delightful. The service was efficient, unobtrusive, and friendly. Reservations are essential since the space is small but not overcrowded. We paid a $20 corkage fee per bottle for the wines we brought. They are currently expanding their wine list and are open to suggestions from patrons.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was just mediocre, and it took an excessive amount of time to be served—three hours! To make matters worse, the bill was outrageous.
